Pre-September OC asks! (Enbi squad + Zephyatt)

Surprise OC asks post! :) It's lively in the Enbi household!

Since we're running a new format for OC asks this month, I decided to take the old asks sent on previous months and answer them - so we get a gist of how they'll work.

I had mentioned in the inbox post that I'd post doodle answers separately, but now I think it'll be more practical to compile them all like so!

Simple/quick answers should be the ones most likely to be answered with doodles, since I can sketch them out quickly and unpretentiously, while more complex answers will be done in text form.

Text answers below - all about Hyatt and/or Zephyr! <3

Zephyr took it quite naturally and adapted immediately, actually! Hyatt and Zephyr met as small kids, and were playmates until Zeph's early teens. They lost touch for several years, and finally reconnected by chance at college age. Hyatt reintroduce himself as Hyatt, and it wasn't hard for Zephyr to get used to it- since his memories of birdie were of a juvenile phase and they both changed and matured since then. Moreso, he was glad to see Hyatt looking a lot more genuine to himself than when he was cloistered under his conservative family's wings.

(The same is true in the Oblivious Dream TTRPG verse, except in ObliDream they meet again in highschool!)

Zephs didn't have a hard time coming into terms with his own bisexuality growing up, and his current social circles consist mostly of other queer people - so he's really chill when it comes to gender & orientation diversity.

Without giving in too much information I still want to convey in another format, I'll say this:

Hyatt is extremely affectionate and will easily say "I love you" to his loved ones - with a varied range of meaning/significance. The same was true when he was a kid, so Zephyr definitely heard that from him before. :)

Zephs on the other hand isn't the affectionate type. He doesn't dispense these three words on a whim, and definitely hasn't said them with serious romantic intent to anyone by the time he reconnects with Hyatt.

While younger, kid/teen Hyatt used to daydream about sumptuous wedding ceremonies like in books or movies - young adult Hyatt is still figuring out agency over his own body and relationships - something he wasn't allowed in his strict religious background.

So he's taking a step back to unlearn and re-evaluate many ideas he was fed growing up, and making new connections and experiences before he decides how he actually feels about marriage. He is still very romantic and theatrical though, so any kind of party organized by Hyatt should be extravagant.

In theory: yes!

In practice: Zephs is generally uncommitted, so hitting the gym on a daily basis on top of work would be a drag to him. Does he still work out, though? It's a mystery. He's the equivalent of those anime characters who are never seen working out onscreen, but are still ripped for no good reason.
