The third-generation Scirocco brought a new level of performance to the Giugiaro-designed two-plus-two. Adding to the strong base of the excellent chassis shared with the original hot hatch, the Volkswagen GTI, the Scirocco now sported a few extra valves per cylinder. With the heart to run against the best the other German marques offered at twice the price, the Scirocco did not disappoint.
