Swordtember Day 20 - Art Deco

Demolition Decree

Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement)

Demolition Decree is a signature weapon wielded by the famous Amber Guard from The Bhraja Kingdom. For hundreds of years, this knight order has protected the dwarven kingdom and the Amber Canyon, where their capital is located. Crafted meticulously from a blend of adamantine and the dense, arcane-conductive Lahanium, this hefty cleaver sword belies its size, weighing heavily in the hands of those unaccustomed to its deliberate heft. This unique composition grants the weapon its formidable strength and allows it to harness and store arcane energy. This energy powers the intricate pile driver mechanism embedded within, a testament to the advanced metallurgical and arcane prowess of the Bhraja Kingdom's master smiths.

Despite its classification, the Demolition Decree is a hefty weapon and crafted with a focus on demolition, it has heavy property. Any damage dealt by this weapon and its features to an object or structure is doubled.

Arcane Pile Driver. The arcane pile driver has 4 charges. As a bonus action, you can load a charge into the pile driver. The next time you hit with an attack using this weapon, the pile driver activates, dealing an additional 2d6 piercing damage and 1d6 force damage. Both you and the target must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked back 10 feet and knocked prone. If the creature is at least two sizes larger than you, it's not knocked back or prone on a failed save. The pile driver regains all expended charges daily at dawn.

Seismic Slam. As an action, you can slam the Demolition Decree into the ground, expending 1 or more of its charges. Each creature within a 10-foot radius must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone. For each additional charge you expend, the damage increases by 1d6. The ground in the area becomes difficult terrain until the end of your next turn.

Mmmm, I love how the style and color palette matches the New Cappena set from magic the gathering. It looks like it would fit right in as a big reward from the Riveteers side of the story

Ned Kelsey

wield it normally to swing, point/stick the pile driver end to a target, and pull the trigger to use the pile driver. OR, you can hold it like you hold a Gatling gun, with one hand on the main grip, and the other hand on the perpendicular guard grip.
