Her vocals are undeniably better as an adult, but I’m not after perfection on that front. Let me see if I can word this on three hours of sleep… Debut: best for road trips Fearless: best for when you wanna lie in the sun or run through a summer thunderstorm…but it’s too cold out Speak Now: look. she’s That Girl. best for when you’re feeling petty Red: best for when you feel like the world is a meat grinder 1989: best vault tracks (sorry to the og) Reputation: best for when you wanna go to the club in steel-toed boots and fishnets Lover: best for when I’m fucking miserable. Cruel Summer can heal me lmao. folklore: best for when you see a cat curled up looking like the coziest baby ever and you wish you could be boneless but you’re all sharp angles evermore: best for poetry Midnights: best for feeling like you’re sitting in the stairwell outside a club having an emotional breakdown TTPD: best for when you’re spiraling Some of those are normal and some super aren’t, I know. But. Eh. Three hours of sleep, y’know? Also what’s so great about normal…hahaha. I’m liking this revisiting thing! For me, the og version that just could not be captured by the TV was actually “The Way I Loved You” (it just hits different when a thirty-something year old woman is singing it vs a teenager lmao).
