Plus, he was doing it in front of I believe the dress she wore for Back To December on Tour? And the piano from that performance too? (I believe... I might be wrong...) Speaking of SNL Monologues... Taylor S has an amazing one... You should definitely watch it. The Monologue Song. I also saw another kind of theory for the meaning of this video. The fact that it's clearly a song about a relationship, and yet the video has nothing to do with that, it's about her getting her music back. I saw someone say that it represents the fact that these rerecordings aren't about the people the songs are about, they're about Taylor getting her music back. That people are still constantly talking about her exes and who each song is about and all that, but for Taylor that's not what any of this is about.

Joey King was in Mean and Taylor Lautner was the subject of “Back to December”, and finally got to do the ass kicking he wanted to do the night Kanye took the mic from her.

Those dresses are all from the speak now era, from tour, music videos, etc. That scene references a line from evermore, "you've got my past frozen behind glass, but I've got me". She uses this reference on tour as well. My favorite easter egg is the 1989 TV sign on the bridge as they drive away from the vault and speak now tv into the 1989 tv era

2024-06-16 21:37:20 +0000 UTCA few easter eggs I can remember: At the beginning, you can see the date/time in the bottom right corner is “July 9th 1:58” which is a reference to Last Kiss (Lit through the darkness at 1:58//That July 9th, the beat of your heart). Also at the end, if you look closely at the small round sign over the street, it says 1989 TV, which came out only 3 months later. The writing you noticed on her arm is a lyric from Long Live, which she used to write on her arm during the OG Speak Now World Tour Performances!

2024-06-16 21:18:50 +0000 UTCa lot of your Taylor theory "reaches" are often actually true!! This whole music video is a metaphor for Taylor reclaiming her music. The video shows her locked up in a vault and she has to be broken our by two people that were important in the original Speak Now era. All of the dresses and props were from Taylor's past! Mostly music videos and performances. In the end, she was able to escape (along with her own version of Speak Now) but she had to blow up / destroy her original history to do so which is why we still see a look of sadness on her face at the end as she looks back at the burning building before moving forward.

Yes, it’s Taylor’s friends (fans) from the Speak Now era helping rescue Taylor from the vault and reclaiming the Speak Now album after it had been stolen, Taylor was in the vault and they were setting her free. Those check marks on the walls were the # of days it had been stolen and the lyrics on her arm were from Long Live song on the album “I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you.” The picture is the new cover of the re-recorded Speak Now album and Joey & Presley were the two young girls from the Mean video & she dated Taylor Lautner during the SN era. When she announced the video on the Eras tour last year, they all came out on stage 💜

Also the lyrics down her arm are from Long Live, bit she also used to write different lyrics down her arm during her early tours. Also in the last frame, the sign on the bridge says 1989 TV and was our hint that 1989 Taylor's Version was the next re-recording shecwas going to release.
