I would love to add some Allison Russell to the list - my current favs are Nightflyer, The Returner, Persephone, and Joyful Motherfuckers. I just saw her in NYC and her show was excellent! I came for the Taylor and Bey reactions, but am working through some of the other content. I am curious and listening now to hear your opinions on Maisie Peters.

All of her stuff is great but that’s such a cohesive and vulnerable album and a perfect intro into her… ;) if you do that album include Nightmare, it was in the same era but not on the album. Also Halsey is coming out with a new album after a long hiatus

I do know that she writes her own music, and didn’t start writing or even singing until she was grown and in college. She was actually going to school for a degree in Biology (?? it was one of the sciences) which is where the name Mariah the Scientist came from. She is completely self taught as far as writing, singing, performing, everything. She’s not got a huge discography, but there are several great tracks. I’ll keep recommending her for these episodes if you don’t mind 🫶✌️
