i love 1989 tv!!! it's a banger, zero skips. it's my boyfriend's favorite album hehe, cause i turned him into a Swiftie lol. so glad you like 1989 tv, i think she did an amazing job with the re-records like obviously 1989 stolen version is iconic and nostalgic but she slayed so hard on taylor's version.

MK

I am barely catching up on your Taylor content because I suck but oh my God when you said Taylor needs to make a manuscript I just about died. She has a song called the manuscript in TTPD.

Mariposaa13

the only possible way to react to wonderland tbh

Giu Bressani

New Romantics ear explosion 💥 😂 👏🏼 yes!!! SUCH a great pop song

Lesetoiles

1989TV is superior imo but Style TV is an actually crime against humanity 😭 WHY

Lesetoiles

LMAOOOO

Lauryn

Girl that prologue was beating your ass

Carly Greer

Omg I’m just seeing this, thank you❤️

Lauryn

the energy in this video is peak

15

You should listen to the voice memos

TwoMoreReRecordings2go_RS

girl you really need to watch the eras tour movie. pleeeaaaasssseeee.

Judith Perez

Nah, your good girl. I struggle to read out loud too. Just go with it 😂

Liz N

the MVs from this time are all insane and gorgeous! iconic, literally all of them oh and since i can't find anyone else mentioning it, just fyi: christopher rowe is all over these albums because he, along with our boy jack, are the main producers of the re-records lol

Neumann

your face during wonderland was so real. you should look into wonderland tattoo removal 👀

Drew Sitton

After 1989 won the Grammy for best album, Taylor was invited to speak to the Recording Academy Producers & Engineers wing in Nashville. She spoke to this group of seasoned pros about the making of 1989 and working with all the different producers. She includes voice memos from her phone and videos from the recording sessions. It's a great opportunity to see her process. Stick around until the end of her talk for a nice surprise. Find it on YouTube: Taylor Swift NOW Listening Session with Taylor Grammy Museum

LittleFrosty

This is the best clip of this! I've seen others but this is the BEST! Thanks!

Travis

Taylor has truly never released a bad album. They are all good in their own ways, and they all range from fairly to completely different from the others. On top of her masterful songwriting, she can do all kinds of sounds. She writes with such specificity, but it's universally relatable. And what you said in the speak now reaction about Taylor giving it all to her fans creatively, the way she engages and interacts with fans with the easter eggs, the fun surprises, and the gratitude she always expresses to her fans over these past 17-18 years, this is why she has such a large loyal fan base. It was earned through lots of hard work, talent, and authenticity. For years I've seen lots of hateful comments all over social media from people who it is clear, usually know very little about Taylor, and have clearly never really listened to her music. The usual comments about how she can't sing, she doesn't write her own songs, she lip syncs, she's immature and writes songs for little girls, and a plethora of other comments most of us have read for years, though it's even worse over the past year and a half because of the tour and her extreme success and popularity. Not to mention the hate and derogatory comments towards her fans. I've never seen someone so undeserving, get so much hate. Even if people don't vibe with her music, she always presents as a genuine, kind, funny, and generous human being. They refuse to believe there could be legitimate reasons why so many people love her and would go to battle for her. I don't waste my time arguing with these people, but for all the haters, I think it's truly their loss, because being a fan of Taylor Swift is just pure fun, joy, and can be cathartic and emotional. 🫶🏼

Amy Beavis

We don't even know if Taylor asked Max to produce any of the re-recordings. Also, Max has less to gain since she gave him writing credits on several songs (so he gets paid either way). BTW, Max showed up at the Era's tour in Stockholm a few weeks ago, where Taylor played an acoustic set and called it "A Max Martin Medley".

Travis

Conspiracy theories are so dumb

Faith S.

The look to the camera during Wonderland sent meeee. Lauryn knows😏

Alyssa Hoadley

New Romantics is always on critics' top ten Taylor song lists. It's so strange it wasn't on the actual album.

Emily M

Kendrick is never simple haha

Lauryn

Kendrick’s bars were actually a lot deeper than I ever knew! Watch this reaction from Knox Hill, he explains Kendrick’s bars really well: https://youtu.be/toxfD307_iI?si=rtdjsTs8tyJGLRrR

Anjeannette Schnetz

New Romantics 🩵

Anjeannette Schnetz

on the 1989 tour, taylor brought out different artists for each show and she brought out mary j blige during her LA show to sing one of mary's songs.... would love to see ur reaction to it :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ0474w66uw

Tay G

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Taylor has physically waited on a sidewalk for someone to drive by haha

Caitlan

I knew you would love I know places, Clean and Is it over now?! I can't wait for your next TS album reaction. If it's Midnights I bet you will love Maroon. Some people think Jack's productions are always the same but I disagree. I think that yes we recognize when Jack does his thing because he loves a good 80' synth, but at the same time he did August production and some other songs that sound different. But I agree on the similarities between Now That We Don't Talk and Suburban Legends. Did you ever considered reacting to The Bleachers? It's Jack's band and they worked on Gold Rush by TS. They also have a featuring with Lana Del Rey. Anyway, great reaction as always. I'm sad because you're making a little break from Taylor but I understand and I will be watching your other videos :)

Kristina

ok i’m so excited for this video tuning in now…. as an evermore girlie, 1989 is my fave pop album of hers … so i can’t wait to see all your thoughts WOOO. also as 1997 baby, this album came out my senior year of high school and it was sooo special to me for that reason, a transitional album at a transitional phase of life

Haley B.

I still can't listen to Clean without either crying or at least getting choked up 😭 I love it so much. Especially with the baking vocals near the end that just open up in that almost spiritual high note echoing. And, of course, the context in which she sang it on the Rep tour is just... Gives me shivers every time. Glad you loved it so much too. It's definitely on my Top 10 favourite TS songs.

Emma Vink

Taylor did an acoustic version of Wildest Dreams with an electric guitar for the Grammy Museum. It's so fking good!!!

Emma Vink

Probably something to do with contracts or schedules. Maybe they are contacted to Taylor's old label or just busy with other work.

Emma Vink

Why didn’t they do the re-recordings as well?

Lauryn

most of this album was produced by Max Martin and Shellback. Christopher is the just the guy responsible for the rerecordings, he is killing in replicating it tho. You need to search up the OG producers cause on Taylor's Version its gonna show only the person who replicated i think

Rebecca Lopes

I have watched her performance of Out of the Woods from her 1989 Tour countless times. Made me love the song more than I already did. Can’t wait to see you react to that tour at some point!

Sara Veronick

1989 World Tour in HD should be on your To-Do list now, for sure! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5JLMp08GC0

Travis

Definitely! Great recommendation! Good link too, since most YT clips are out-of-sequence. Thanks!

Travis

the side eye at that part in the prologue was great. like what do you mean Miss boys and boys and girls and girls.

Christa

I think it’s important to note that Christopher Rowe is the guy she uses as producer for the re-recordings where the original producer is unavailable (Nathan Chapman, Max Martin, Shellback..) Christopher is amazing at recreating the production though!!

Robert Ellis

Like maybe I need to pick up a book?? 😭

Lauryn

the best part of this whole video was you trying to read the prologue 😭

Niha Naseer

1989 was #18 on Apple Music’s Best 100 albums! Personally i would have loved to see Folklore or Evermore on that list but with how influential to the pop genre 1989 was, I am not complaining much. 1989 is an amazing album and I think it was well deserved.

Emily Oliva

you are in love is my favorite song 😭😭 im glad you enjoyed it

AA

People are too dramatic about Jack’s production.

Reganie Smith

also at the end of the day, Taylor has gone on record saying she hates the constant need to paternity test all of her songs, it doesn't matter who it's 'really' about none of us actually know her. What matters is her artistic genius and the way she so flawlessly ties her work together to become a beautiful story and I think that's why there are so many different interpretations of her music it's beautiful really <3

Michelle

Taylor has always made references to her older songs in her new work that doesn't mean she's referencing the same person every time, she usually likes to reuse old emotions and songs to connect to her current expirences as well (she said so herself during eras). I understand you probably mean well but I think some ppl forget that this m*tty narrative is also pure speculation she's never confirmed any of that nor is there any solid proof that they had any kind of relationship during the 1989 era and honestly anything outside TTPD feels like a reach to me but everyone's entitled to their own interpretations however, I strongly disagree with this take

Michelle

I’m not a commenter really. But ive been binging your videos for a bit now, I just wanna say I appreciate watching your videos, all of them, but mostly the Taylor swift ones. It’s so fun and entertaining to watch you be a fan. So thanks for your efforts and making me have something to look forward to most days

bella diana

Aaahhhh!!! 1989 Let’s GO!!! “Took our broken hearts put em in a drawer” the Red era is over 🩵💙🩵

Cara M

Although undeniably iconic, 1989 was never my favorite album of hers.. but the vault tracks are the best she’s released so far. They made me come back to 1989 with a whole new appreciation. Also, I think people are little dramatic about Jack’s production. He has a sound for sure, but it’s good!! I don’t care, I love the songs he produces.

🌷

You neeeeed it

Mandi

harry styles*

halle

idk if someone already said this but most of these are presumed to be about harry cause she dated him after red came out. the “red blood, white snow” lyric is about a snowmobiling accident they got into, which is mentioned in out of the woods. and “blue dress on a boat” is because he left her on a boat by herself and there’s a picture of it, i’m sure you could google it. is it over now: VERY biblically accurate. i loveee harry but he didn’t seem like he was the greatest boyfriend at the time. but they seem to be cool now cause when people were booing him when won album of the year and screamed “beyonce should’ve won” (im also a beyonce fan) taylor was the only one standing up and clapping for him. cause she knows exactly what that felt like

halle

I have epilepsy and literally can't watch the 1989 world tour but it looks fun

gabi rasera

Omg nooo

Lauryn

self titled came out when i was a freshman in high school and 1989 i was a sophomore. so ive always chosen to believe that’s a beyonce shoutout 😇

halle

I’m also thinking she’s gonna love Midnights and TTPD 🤞🤞

🌷

She really does

Mandi

1,000%

Mandi

How can I get your address or PO Box? Lemme send you some merch

Mandi

how you get the girl i know that right!!!!! i’m so happy bc that’s one of my favs off this album

halle

Enjoyed this reaction so much 🩵 I recommend watching the Grammy museum performances and this video which explains so much about the making of 1989! https://youtu.be/SVGbjszns3A?si=92-eZgX0LY7KUEcZ

Barbie

also, drinking prosecco while watching this reaction. 10/10 recommend

halle

its actually crazy how similar our opinions are on every album!! i’m here screaming with you. lol i wanna be ur bff🥲

Becky

Wonderland is about Dianna Agron and I will die on that hill. Forever and always.

sunflowerfangirlreadsluv

1989 definitely had the best vault tracks….for sure. So far anyway…can’t wait for Rep TV. Suburban Legends is TOTALLY about Matty 🫣 I’m not tired of Jack at all. I love their work together. She trusts him with her lifeeee! He has known all of her secrets and kept them. Not to mention, Taylor produces these songs too! She knows what she wants the song to sound like before she ever steps foot in the studio- he just makes it happen🤷🏼‍♀️

Brandi Smith

Say Don’t Go- she stays Down Bad until TTPD, unfortunately….. she most definitely gets up in that album😂

Brandi Smith

Omg I'm sooo glad you loved clean! It's one of my favorite songs of hers!!!

Francesca White

New Romantics……..I KNEW you would LOVEEEEEEE it!!!!

Brandi Smith

I can’t believe how you’re spoiling us, Speak Now and 1989 back to back is crazy! Loved your Speak Now reaction, super excited about this one.

Carol

Back after Clean ☔️☔️☔️ Sooooooooo glad you love it!!! 🫶🫶🫶

Brandi Smith

while some fans try to pit them against each other (insane), I relish in the greatness that it is to love both amazing artists. WE ARE BEING FED!

Roxy

I Know Places 🤌🤌🤌🤌 EASILY tied for my favorite on this album with Clean. Easy. Can’t wait for your reaction to Clean🤗🫣 Also- Ryan Tedder is quoted as saying that he felt wrong for getting any credits on I Know Places, because Taylor came to the studio with the entire thing written and with the idea of the melody and production sound that she wanted. He said he really didn’t have to do much at all 🫶

Brandi Smith

Side note- The 1989 World Tour is a MUST WATCH!!!!!!!!!!! Elevates the album so much🫶🫶

Brandi Smith

Not you making that ‘So it Goes’ connection in Style!!!!!! So much of what I’m about to say is controversial amongst the fandom, but since TTPD, it has been realized and noted that Matty was a muse waayyyyy before we were aware he was even a thought in our girls head. It’s possible that Style was about Matty, covered up as being about Harry😳🫣 Which yes- could also mean So it Goes is about Matty…..🫣🫣 Opinions from my fellow Swifties??? But please don’t come for me too hard🫶🫶🫶 There are just soooooo many lyrical connections in both Taylor and Matty’s work dating back to this time!!!!!

Brandi Smith

vocals on 1989 World Tour are next level (even if the editing is wild lmao)

codenamewitch xx

STOP I WOULD EXPLODE

Lauryn

Welcome to New York 🩵🫶✌️🌆🌃🌉🩵

Brandi Smith

honestly Reputation TV with a Bey feature would be iconiccccc

codenamewitch xx

Suburban legends could be on ttpd. I didn’t see that until now.

Aimee

Remember when we all realized Harry wasn’t as unproblematic as we originally thought with Is It Over Now 🫠🫠🫠

Caitlin Green

She said Down Bad in the speak now reaction too! Can’t wait

Samra

It’s rumored that we were supposed to have a Matty feature in Slut!, but it was scrapped when the breakup happened🫣

Brandi Smith

Thank you!!!

Lauryn

i LOVE k-dot

Leah Close

Kendrick's verse in bad blood: he's talking about how the conflict is too developed to take back, it was like a drug (d.o.c : drug of choice) and his Tender Loving Care felt like an overdose & from his pov it was like a war (similar iraq)... then he's saying how he uses music to erase the person like his way of escaping was that

Leah Close

these vault tracks are my fave! i would love more insight into her vault track process. Were they songs that were ever recorded? Just drafts? How much does she adapt them to her musical style now because they all sound so much more in line with her current stuff but maybe the roots of her current sound were there in old tracks that she just rerecorded for these releases

Roxy

I strongly disagree with the sentiment that some people have that all the Jack songs sound the same. Does he have signature elements yes but for example I don’t think Out of the woods, New Years Day, Cornelia Street, The Lakes, Labyrinth and Fresh out the slammer sound anything alike and they are all Jack songs. I believe just like Jack has production signatures that can be found in a lot of songs he produced so does Aaron Dessner who Jack haters usually love. What people really need to remember is that Taylor is a co producer on all her tracks since at least Lover and executive producer of the albums and ultimately would not have songs with production on them that she did not want.

KyraB

Clean is a masterpiece. So is new romantics 👏🏻 love your taste! I got a mashup of say don’t go x welcome to new york x clean for a surprise song at my show. It was so darn incredible 🥰

Isabella Peterson

yes, she won aoty for this album! actually she is te only artist with 4 aotys: fearless, 1989, folklore and midnights

Maria Julya

Keep in mind - Chris took over to re-record but it was a lot of Max Martin and Shellback for the production on this album originally

Amy Versprille

Literally no one else does it like Bey and Tay. They will forever be at the top. A collab would be…. Life changing honestly.

Mikayla

best vault tracks for real

Lauren Ablondi Olivo

oh i've been waitttting for this one. i was a casual fan since debut/fearless era, but red and 1989 were the two albums that made me a major fan in high school. those albums back to back were INSANE, but there is just such a special place in my heart for 1989. it was so iconic at the time and still holds up as genuinely one of the best pop albums ever made, but part of the excitement at the time was how incredibly different of a sound it was for her. so happy you loved it! <3

Lauren Ablondi Olivo

I have to recommend to you this often forgotten original acoustic demo of shake it off. You would not assume an acoustic version of that song would be as good as it is but in this you hear Taylor trying out all the different vocal riffs and adlibs she ends up incorporating into the song and even some that don’t make the Final Cut of shake it off and it’s her improvising and it’s so good. https://soundcloud.com/v-ctor-swift-gomez-butera-coleman/taylor-swift-shake-it-off

Flowermoon

Wow, can't wait for this moment

Vanessa

Please react to the live rock version of Out of The Woods. You will love it so much.

Jessica Martin

Pop Bible is right. I have a feeling you're gonna love Midnights and TTPD, and I know it didn't win the poll, but it'd be awesome if you did Fearless (and, yeah, maybe Debut) first. Whatever, I'll be here for it. Have fun!

Ian Hillan

When she said that, I was like, girl you don't even know!!!

Sasha

AHHHHH, I love that you love New Romantics!! If you didn't know, that was the song she played to announce the new release of the 1989 TV. She wore new outfits at the Eras Tour (blue is known to represent this album) and she just kept coming out in blue dress after blue dress all night. I was at that show, and we were losing out god damn minds!! Then she plays New Romantics on the guitar and everyone was singing at the top of their lungs, it was magical :D

Sasha

Respect for I Know Places and Wonderland, two criminally underrated bangers 🙌

Iliana Habib

Please rememberthat you said "Taylor Swift needs to make a manuscript..." when you finally get to your Tortured Poets reaction 😅

Iliana Habib

The way she dropped The Anthology!

Sandy

YES

Sandy

!!! Thank you for churning out so much content! CLEAN SUPREMACY. In my top ten, if not five Taylor songs of all time. The way it sounds and the depth. 1989 really is that girl that stands the test of time. The growth from Speak Now to Red to 1989 is incredible. You're right, 1989 was the height of her career, this album broke records and got her her second Grammy. It also makes the stakes higher for how hard she fell right after to run into seclusion, find love in secred (rep) and come back with Ready For It!! Fair warning, Lover I believe is tied for most people's least favorite album --tied with debut, but it has some of her highest highs and a song that was never a single came back four years later to be a #1 and her most successful song of all time -- that's actually in the Eras trailer and you def heard it - Cruel Summer. Lover is so important for the lore.

Sandy

😂 😂 😂 Legit... Every album is the best in its own right. When people ask me what my fave album is it isn't a single album answer... It depends on my mood, what genre I'm fucking with at any given day, whether I need to bop or cry.... Legit they all slay. But 1989 is 1000% a no skip album for me start to finish Eta: I JUST FINISHED your speak now reaction. My ears are sore from my headphones but am I hitting play on this video anyway? Hell yes

Vronnie

I looooove New Romantics. One of my favorites on the original album 🩵

LanaJulie33

i’m out at a bar, got this notification and now i can’t wait to go home
