Rep -> Lover -> Midnights -> TTPD - All tell about similar themes and need eachother for lore and to catch some easter eggs and get the storyline straight ! Midnights and Ttpd do some references to Lover , you should not listen to them without Lover (even though lover is not my fave album - far from that - its very important to the story )

I do agree with the others that its important to listen to lover before midnights and midnights before ttpd, so that's why im suggesting this

Taylor considers Midnights a concept album and says that it reflects on sleepless nights through out her life, so knowing the rest of the story helps for that album. Also, make sure you listen to the Til Dawn Edition because it has all of the bonus tracks for the album

I say 1989, then Midnights if need be! But ideally I'd say 1989, Lover, then Midnights and TTPD. Honestly Fearless is great but you do not *need* it before anything else since you got a little taste of her younger sound and it's far removed from the interplay of story-telling. 1989, Rep, Lover, and Midnights are all in the same universe if that makes sense. Same as Speak now and Fearless are, and Folklore and Evermore. TTPD weaves into them as well actually. As everyone said please make sure you listen to the Until Dawn edition, plus You're Losing Me and Snow on the Beach with more Lana.

There’s really a chronological story that’s being told in these 3 albums, and the context is essential to understanding her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department! It’s mind-blowing storytelling as well, and I think you’d find this 3 album run interesting. Fearless and Debut are albums one can always come back to as well ❤️ Hopefully the voters agree :)
