I am banking DO HARD on Taylor bringing the studio versions and the live versions closer together on Reputation (TV). The ad-libs on Don't Blame Me at the end of the studio recording are nothing compared to the live versions. And the burning the witches part on I Did Something Bad is so electro-sterile and soulless on the studio recording.

Then people filled up Taylor's comments with snake emojis. That's when she went into hiding, so the Rep branding was all centered around snakes.

I don't think in the eras show taylor rearranges songs as much as in this but it's a truly great show. I think her acoustic song mashups are the best showcase of her ability to remix her own work. i actually tune in to her acoustic set on livestreams now because it's so good!

They intentionally skipped Kanye and Kim Kardashian’s wedding and went to Taylor’s Birthday party (which were the same day) instead. It was a HUGE pop culture moment at the time.

She usually performs two each concert (one guitar, one piano), but they filmed the concert over three days so she includes all six surprise songs at the end of the movie on Disney+. So I’d recommend watching the movie up until the surprise songs, fast forwarding until the credits when all six surprise songs are performed, and then rewinding and finishing from there 🫶🏻

A big part of that was Kim calling her a snake and tweeting a bunch of snakes at her. It really took off hundreds of thousands tweeted snakes at her. When Rep came out, Taylor decided to use snake imagery in the album, videos, and tour, using the image to her advantage, claiming as her own, and to shove it back at all the haters. Very cool. 🖤

So they were with her every concert, as opening acts and joined in for Shake it off ^_^ I attended the reputation stadium tour in Dublin, Ireland in June of 2018. When the concert ended, I remember wishing for it to be my heaven 😂 It was euphoric! I really hope you get to go see her ✨

2024-05-31 22:18:16 +0000 UTCThe snake thing started before reputation and was why it was made because there was some back and forth between Taylor and Kanye about his song “Famous” that had the lyrics “I feel like Taylor might owe me sex, why? I made that bitch famous” after both sides were disagreeing Kim decided to come to Kanye’s defense and posted a 30 second video of Kanye and Taylor on the phone clearly talking about the song, and so a lot of people, twitter, and the media decided to hop on the I Hate Taylor train and were calling her fake, a liar, and digging up old stuff like her past relationships it was really bad. Then Kim decided to put the nail in the coffin and tweet “It’s national snake day, wow they really have holidays for everyone… I mean everything nowadays 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍” Which was very clearly targeted to Taylor. Then all her comments on everything was just people calling her names or the snake emojis 🐍, and since then and to this day she has her comments off on instagram. Before this era was 1989 and she thought she was at her peak and prime, blank space and shake it off were huge commercial successes, she was in a lot of advertisements, magazines, and in the phone call with Kanye (which the entire video was leaked in 2020- 4 years after this all went down proving that Taylor’s argument was completely right and she wasn’t okay with lyric he used) she says that she was worried that she was “this” close to overexposure. So after all that she was completely silent for a year, she did no press or interviews, she didn’t post anything on socials, there wasn’t even paparazzi pictures of her for that entire time. When she did come back she had deleted all her previous posts on instagram and then she posted three videos that when seen all together made a snake with no caption, shortly after she announced Look What You Made Me Do with no explanation. I could honestly write a huge deep dive on this there’s a lot more but basically she just reclaimed everyone calling her a snake and branded herself with it so it lost its appeal.

This was the most impressive concert I had gone at the time, now being her eras tour the most magical I have ever seen. The eras tour is what made me a true Swifty however as Taylor really puts on a show and the movies don’t do it justice to me. When you are in the crowd and how much people are so united and know every single song lyric it’s unbelievable.

It’s bc after Kanye and Kim dropped the edited phone call, Taylor came out saying it’s edited and she never agreed with the video and the song, so Kim tweeted literally “ wait it’s legit national snake day?!?!?! I also prefer the beat of the original most of the time, but I LOVE this version at times as well. Depends on my mood. I just play then in rotation and am NEVER disappointed whichever version plays 🤷🏼♀️ on the Red part 1 video I recommended her In the Live Lounge performance of Holy Ground. It’s very similar to this one as far as the difference in arrangement. But it too is beautifully done. Kim pointed out that it was National Snake Day (which IS a real thing, but I think she was actually a day off). The haters really latched onto that and flooded Taylor’s social media with snake emoji’s. So, Taylor made it the entire theme with her comeback record🫶

Also I went to see this tour it was absolutely amazing. All of her tours have been amazing. Was dealing with some health issues when Eras tour tickets went on sale so missed my opportunity to try and get tickets and the resale tickets are just to far out of my price range so it will be the first tour I miss. At least we have the concert film though. Not to mention grainy live streams for those of us catch those.
