My older sister came to visit me in NYC for the first time this week. She's been to NYC before, but it was many years ago and not while I was living here. If you didn't know, I'm the second oldest of five kids. I'm the only one who doesn't live in Ohio anymore, where we grew up.
All of my siblings have some sort of anxiety disorders and/or depression, so nowadays we kind of bond while exploring where all that came from (hi mom and dad). I'm closer to some siblings than others...some never text or call me back : ( But this particular sister is um, super Christian and doesn't know about my life here haha. She didn't know I modeled at all...
But I decided to start sharing more with her. Not everything, but slowly sharing more pieces of my real self with my family. I'm feeling it out little by little...

I imagine it will be nice for you, at least, to share your authentic self with her. Your choices have made you happy. I guess she can do with it what she wants, most likely to judge you at the beginning. But if she comes around it will be because she loves you, you share a history together and because you have made yourself vulnerable with your honesty. That is my hope for you at least.
