White hot

Just posted a new video on OF you miiiiiiiiight wanna peep

As I mentioned before, I recently increased my OF subscription from $5 to $10 at the advice of a "friend." Well....I ended up losing more than half my subscribers, and more than half my income.

Then this friend used one of my work resources (after telling me they wouldn't), which also eats into my income drastically.

Overall I feel...betrayed. Disappointed. Hurt.  Is this a sign to retire?  I just spend the last 5+ years building something on there...to lose more than half of it in less than 30 days is a huge blow.  It's been a hard week.

Some β€œfriend.” You work hard, and allow yourself to be emotionally vulnerable. That makes for a very authentic presentation. Your work with Mark Velasquez in particular is peerless. Take some time to recharge, regroup, and go forward to bigger and better things.

I will stay with you and I think you have a devoted following. And those who are not devoted should matter less to you.

It's always a risk to lose a bit when you work to increase your own perceived value, and there's some people that won't recognise it, but don't give up, don't let that thing make you question that value again. Stick to the highest price, new followers will come, that will appreciate your talent, taste and beauty. And maybe lose that "friend"...

Don't worry, those subs will come crawling back... they'll start jonesing and need to feel the burn again πŸ˜‰

Oh Erin, that's terrible, there aren't the words to describe how unfair that is. You've given so much, and you deserve all that is good. Sometimes just breathing deeply can help, while looking at what's possible and best for you.

you're definitely right

Give yourself a little time. Making decisions while the hurt is still fresh can be tricky.

Sorry that's happened to you. No need to retire yet, your content is still great, but sounds like "friend" wasn't quite the friend they made out to be.

Okay, that *blows* (in the BAD way). Your work (here, on OF, or wherever) is *peerless* (and I don't choose that word lightly). I hope we're all able to find a way through this that gets you where you want to be.
