I found out my mom was coming to visit Brooklyn for the first time with very little notice. After spending some time in the city, I booked us a last minute airbnb upstate.
My dad, who is no longer with my mom, is from the Woodstock area and we went there as kids sometimes. The funny thing, is I never knew how close we were to the city...
Little did I know, the Airbnb I booked was part of a historic artist colony started in 1903 called Byrdcliffe. The history is pretty fascinating, the "utopian experiment" only last 30 years before collapsing in on itself. Although the colony disbanded by 1934, it is still used for artist residencies, and Bob Dylan lived there in the late 60s and early 70s - ironically in the house across from where we booked!
We spent a lot of time walking around the town of Woodstock and going on hikes, so I didn't have a lot of time to take photos in this beautiful bathtub. Even though the light was fading, I think it has a nice dreamy quality to it. I hope you enjoy :)
