2024-12-21 09:27:35 +0000 UTCOh gosh, how much time do you have? I've been trying to find time to finish reading Babel by R.F. Kuang - it's a fantasy-ish book about colonialist Britain with some magic mixed in to explain its place in the world. The hook is that the magic is in silver that has to be pulled out using words, and that requires taking in and master languages beyond English. I have so many backlogged games it's hard to even count, I have the Mario RPG and Thousand Year Door remakes and just haven't touched them. I also bought Danganronpa Decadance to try the series out in full and haven't even removed the plastic wrap! I'd like to finish those three next year at least. And I've completely fallen off the map when it comes to TV. Can barely tell you what's airing.

I ain't gonna beef with anyone who considers it a fave bc it has some really strong aspects to it

2024-12-20 06:36:22 +0000 UTCTHEM'S FIGHTIN' WORDS FOR SURE but I do get it; despite being a YUUUUGE zelda fan, my love for the series was really born from the 3D games. I get real excited for new topdown games now, but I almost consider 2D/3D zelda games to be different genres, they scratch completely different itches for me I wouldn't go as far to say that LTTP is a least favorite (I still very much love it) but it doesn't hit for me even remotely the same way as the likes of OOT, etc.

But MAN I'm excited too and I've really been craving Metroid Prime Remastered. It's time also I totally get it with BOTW/TOTK. I disagree but I also agree at the same time, lol

2024-12-20 06:31:26 +0000 UTCoh i am SUCH a nerd for the timeline, I've been a "timeline enthusiast" since pre-Wind Waker days and it's still one of my greatest joys in gaming to go on Zelda theorizing binges; there's nothing else in gaming that has given me the same kind of feeling of speculating about Zelda, and even though I know that the developers don't give one tenth of a shit about it that the players do, I love that they keep people guessing. It's pointless, but so much fun

I've been gaming less and less over the years, but monster Hunter always grabs me for a month and change. And now they're implementing weapon swaps mid-Hunt! A feature I've fantasized about since freedom unite!

There's a reason her colors suit her. 2) The weapons breaking is still dumb. 3) When I can suppress the terror of the reality of the situation (for those of us in the US) I want to engage with more media that didn't come out in the calendar year. I want to play backlog games and watch five year old anime and read books randomly.
