Your dramatic encounter with Trix's boyfriend has major consequences for both Trix and you. The ripple effects of this confrontation will carry forward into Chapter 2, but you'll be dealing with them in a slightly different way than before because Chapter 2 introduces a hub-based structure that will allow you to tackle many different quests independently with minimal time constraints.

Here are some of the Chapter 2 quest lines I'll be working on:

• Main quest (will require you to buy female clothes, visit two lawyers recommended by Cipher, and more)

• EroSphere cook (new sexual scenes)

• Hive Properties sucker (a new way to make money)

• HiveCleaning (extra services for good tenants such as yourself)

• Sarah and Roderick (more threesomes)

• Yuki (your changing appearance won't escape her attention)

• Xavier (new sexual scenes + help him confirm why he's getting paid a lower commission by Drake)

• Ray (more exploits to test + your changing appearance won't escape his attention)

• Jessica (your new kinky colleague will want to get to know you better)

I hope that this new hub structure will bring a refreshing change of pace and, more importantly, eliminate one of the largest sources of serious bugs: the various progress restrictions I had to implement to make Chapter 1 linear.

While the linear system wasn't inherently bad, the implementation became weak and inconsistent when paired with legacy code and multiple versions of certain functions. It's almost miraculous that we've reached Chapter 2 without needing another major refactoring!

Moving forward, I'll be gradually cleaning up the internal code while keeping my focus on content production. The length of Chapter 2 will depend entirely on which side quests you choose to pursue, but I won't start Chapter 3 until there's substantial content for everyone. The good news is that save file compatibility issues should be gone in Chapter 2, since quest progression will depend on your actions rather than time-based triggers.

To mark the arrival of Chapter 2, the next release will bump the version number to 0.3.0 and will feature the first playable Chapter 2 content with the new hub-based structure.

I'll be taking the rest of this week to properly release the new version everywhere and engage with players beyond this platform. I'll also be updating the content overview and doing some project upkeep that I've been postponing. As such, the next release will likely come with some delay (up to a week), but I'll do my best to make the wait worth it!

Personal Updates

I also want to carve out some time to become more active in the community, with Discord being my top priority and TFGames.Site. This has been consistently difficult for me and a big source of disappointment with myself.

I really do want to interact with the fans of MindWare and adult interactive fiction games in general, but between work demands and family life demands and the need to work on MindWare (instead of just talking about it), I've been finding myself drained out of all mental energy and time very often. It also doesn't help that I deal with a lot of social anxiety (relatively successfully in my own opinion but still) and it can sometimes cause avoidance behavior even when it comes to online interactions.

All this said, I have successfully made the mental switch to prioritize MindWare over most of my client work a few weeks ago, and now I just need to firmly establish and maintain a new daily schedule that reflects that. I actually almost had it in place like two weeks ago, but then an old client of mine contacted me with an offer I couldn't refuse and my availability took a major hit but I'll get there eventually!
