Hey Everyone, so if you missed my earlier ramble this morning, turns out there was an account/bot that was mass commenting on all of my posts stating there was a giveaway and to contact a number.
Let me go on record and say I would never ask you to contact me through phone or email, personal or business wise. Any form of contact can be done through Patreon or either of my social media platforms (Twitter, Bluesky etc) If or when I do giveaways I will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS, make an announcement post.
After calming down and a few people have reached out to me, it turns out that this is a thing that's been just now getting to the Sims Community side of Patreon. Another Modder was recently affected by this as well. From my understanding, DO NOT contact the number as they'll try to get sensitive information and please Block and Report.
As soon as the messages started popping up (because I have my notifications on) I immediately blocked and reported this person/bot. As of now for my peace of mind and for yall's safety and privacy, I'll be keeping comments off on all my posts until I hear back from Patreon. I don't want to risk this person coming back any time soon and making more comments.
For future reference, if you see my name but you do not see the "CREATOR" tag next to it, then that is someone else. I would never ask you for your personal or financial information. Any information I ask will only focus on the Sims games and the mods I make. That's it.
I'm writing this out to bring awareness and to be on high alert if you notice this happening to any of your creators on Patreon. Until the comments are restored, I'll be reachable through my Twitter DMs (link in bio) or you can message me here on Patreon. If you prefer, I've created a Mod Fixit Chat where you can post your issues and things like that.
