I'm glad you both enjoyed it so much, it is a great show from Bill Lawrence who was behind Scrubs, Cougar Town and Ted Lasso, Brett Goldstein aka Roy from Ted Lasso, who was also a writer on Ted Lasso and Jason Segel. I though this was a great pilot, they blended the comedy and drama well. With Jimmy unfortunately Grief can sometimes make you selfish and he is stuck in it right now, but hopefully he can work his way out of it and be there for his daughter who needs him. Because she has been also dealing with grief and the loss of not just her mother but also currently her father as he hasn't been there for her and she's had to watch him spiral with his drugs, alcohol and women. Great reaction, I hope the show gets voted into rotation as well and look forward to seeing the next one.

Grief is weird. His behavior is a lot, but there’s no single way to grieve—especially since it hasn’t been that long since his wife died. I think it’s only been a little over a year. I also get what he’s saying about his daughter looking like his wife, particularly after finding out their last conversation was a fight. That’s grief mixed with guilt over how things were left, so I can’t help but feel for him. And the guy who showed up at Jimmy’s daughter’s game? He did nothing but prove the point about him being abusive. Showing up like that is wild. “How dare you tell my wife to leave my abusive ass?” Please. A joke. Anyway, great reaction. I can’t wait for the next one—I love this show. It’s so good.
