Tami definitely deserves to put her own dreams right up there with her husband's. Not as a trade or reward for all the sacrifices she's made for her family's happiness (those were her choices, not things she did unwillingly) but simply because they're supposed to be equals. Eric was certainly being an ass to her by refusing to even entertain a real discussion about their future. On the other hand, I think Tami was also a bit dismissive of what the Lions mean to him. He built the Lions from nothing and has gone through a lot with these kids he's come to care a lot about. With Vince (someone who's life he saved) and Jess (someone he's helping to achieve what seemed like an impossible dream) as primary examples of how the Lions are more than just a football team to him. I'm sure he's aware that he'll find another job and another team to coach in Philly but the Lions are a very personal investment from him. If the Lions' football program wasn't being threatened, I think it would have been much easier for him to consider leaving them (like in the "Don't Go" episode). Totally agree about Luke. His storyline makes no sense. It would have been one thing if his performance had fallen off, but as far as we know he's still great at football. I guess they really wanted to have one kid they could hang the "football isn't everything" hat on, but they fumbled the execution. Maybe they thought they had another season to flesh out that storyline, like introduce an injury or something, but had to rush it because of the cancellation. Tim's advice sort of makes sense but it's depressed Tim giving that advice so it doesn't really land. My favorite moment of the episode was Coach telling Vince he was going to shine no matter what. Their hug was so sweet. Vince is my favorite teen character in the show and it's just so heartwarming to see how far he's come.

Tami came with the gut punches this episode lol. She’ll always be one of the best tv wives in history for me. Love this ep though especially for a penultimate one. Having Tyra come back to be the voice of reason for Tim was cool. Giving Eric such a great opportunity as conflict for not going to Philly is definitely good writing as well. Because realistically they would no doubt want him over any coach in that town. He would make as much money as Tami as well with all the funds going to one school. So it’s a tough choice. The unrealistic part came with cafferty though. U can’t have him be a star with the panthers, become a two way star with the lions, and then say he wouldn’t get offers for D1 schools lol. That doesn’t make sense. Vince for sure would get more because he’s the QB but cafferty would also. As far as yall concerns about the next ep in regards to football. I say don’t worry lol. Hope yall enjoy one of my favorite finales. Oh and also ik I haven’t been here for awhile and ik this crowd would nvr vote for it but I hope yall have checked out the house of Asher show. It’s quite interesting haha.
