Yeah this one was probably the first episode that pretty much universally caught some flack from the fans. The fact that we shoved the younger spiders into the panic room to starve to death, while mama spider was gonna suffocate to death, but shooting them would be inhumane? It kinda feels like they just wanted to push the "no guns" philosophy. We know the Doctor is willing to do mercy killings if needed, so this just felt a bit off. Aside from that, I actually enjoyed this episode. I can't stand spiders so this was one of those episodes that has me creeped out from beginning to end. I did also like the scene's with Graham and Grace. Despite having 3 in the Tardis, they are taking time to let us get to know the companions.
