The last bath
Added 2024-10-13 18:00:06 +0000 UTCThis is the last set that I shot during my weekend getaway back in June. I literally shot it a couple of hours before check out. I just wanted to capture the silent emotional moments that I feel safe enough to sink into during a bath. The warm water is so soothing to me that it almost feels like a hug, and sometimes I'll break down in tears within moments. The first image is my favorite, though I'm struggling with the lack of emotion that I feel from it. I feel like my expression is somewhat dead. But I do really love the shadows that lay across my face. I think they add some of the emotion that I feel is missing from my expression.

I see what you mean with the first but I think to your point, the expression really carries that contemplative aspect of baths—somewhere in between at peace and sorrow. Also, I really like the second to last image. Definitely holds that quiet comfort felt in baths which I enjoy.
