I really wanted to experiment and shoot more doubles on this roll. These are from early July. I also wanted to include more of the roll than just what I think are the "best" and "successful" shots, and to embrace mistakes that I still make- Like forgetting to push the film rewind button in while advancing, leaving me with a single weird shot instead of a double. I think it also gives you a little better of an idea of how the shots are actually layered in camera. I included the trees because...nature...duh :) I love the sun coming through the trees. I'd love to do some tutorial videos if I can ever figure out a new way to upload them here. It's been tricky and pretty frustrating. I'm a little obsessed with the first double- it kind of looks like I've been decapitated, but I think it's so beautiful. I know that sounds weird ;) It kind of reminds me of the movie Sleepy Hollow. The fourth double was a concept that I've had in mind for a while now- it's about feeling caged/trapped. I think I'm going to shoot this one again eventually. I just think it was too overexposed and didn't allow more of my body to come through the image. The last couple of images are just motion blur experimentation. I find it really hard to pose for these shots because I'm moving so fast. I do think the first one is pretty cool-I think I look a little like a cyclops. Overall, I was pretty happy with this entire roll.
I'm really looking for forward to Autumn and shooting some moodier stuff as well as experimenting more outside with the elements and golden colors. Tell me which images are your favorite! I love knowing <3
