Wes Set - Part 2

I'm happy to finally post another set. I definitely haven't been as active as I'd like to be, and usually am. August is a really heavy month for me. I feel like I've experienced most of my losses in August over the years....people...places...my pup and love of my life. And it always feels like I forget until I'm midway through the month and it feels like I'm drowning. Then I remember it's August, and it all makes sense. And at the same time, that recognition and awareness only makes everything feel even heavier. I haven't really shot at all this month, but I'm currently waiting for some scans from the lab, and I'm super excited tom share those with you. I got a little bouquet of my favorite flowers (dahlias) at the farmers market last night, and thinking I need to pick my camera back up this weekend.

I really like the vintage/retro vibe that I feel from this set. I was mainly concentrating on capturing the light on this funky couch and on my body and using the space creatively. Like the first set, I'm in love with the warm tones here. I do wish that I had shot these a little further back so that the entire couch was in view and my feet weren't cut off in a couple of them. The first two are my favorite. I just love the way the light falls on the curves of my body, especially in the second shot. I'd love to know which is your favorite image and why. <3

Shot on with my Pentax LX/43mm on Kodak Ultra Max 400

I honestly think both of those reasons are why they are both my favorite 😊😊 I appreciate your comments so much. Thank you!

Thank you friend!! I wasn’t sure how I felt about the harsh contrast at first, but I do think it’s pretty interesting! Always appreciate your perspective and feedback 😊

Jules

I do really love the sunlight as well 😊 Thank you for the comment!

Jules

3 is my fav, followed closely by 1. I like the lamp off, shows the sun more I think

I love number three because of the different spots of light. Your eyes are well lit, but still some shadows. Then part of you almost overexposed before getting to more warm light and then some shadows. The variation adds a nice texture!

Robert

Love those first two. That sunbeam and lamp are lovely touches and the posing is wonderful
