This set was inspired by the film maker Wes Anderson. He's got a very unique and distinctive style. So when I saw this little space with the chair in the hotel room, and the brightly colored piece of art, I knew I wanted to create something that looked like it could be straight out of one of his movies. I love the slight vintage feel, the colors and tones, the simplicity, and the awkward weirdness that just seems to work. As you can obviously see, the framing is off on all of them. My tripod broke the week before and it was really hard to use. I felt like every time I pressed the shutter, the whole entire tripod moved. When I saw the scans, I wasn't entirely surprised, but I was still disappointed. Other than the crooked framing and maybe the crop cutting off my foot, I really love this set. I really had to surrender to the process of film and the imperfections that make it so unique .
The first image is my favorite. Which one is yours?
