I really liked the Tami and Julie bonding. I will never be a fan of Julie but she's at her most likeable during wholesome heartfelt moments with her parents. Her speech about Dillon was nice -- so nice that the show actually used it in an Emmy trailer after season 5 ended. I'll send you a link to that when you guys finish the show. It's a beautiful video compilation that encompasses the whole series. Also, hey, who could have predicted Buddy Garrity becoming Coach Taylor's most loyal friend? Most FNL fans are fond of Buddy and that's certainly because of his involvement in the Lions storyline. He's been Coach T and the Lions' unexpected ace-in-the-hole this season. What a turnaround. Vince with his mom is so heartbreaking. Michael B. Jordan and Angela Rawna kill it in these roles. Vince is my favorite of the teen characters (out of the whole show) -- he's such an earnest, well-meaning kid despite his circumstances. He so clearly wants to make the right choices, take care of his mom, and just be a normal kid playing football. His development and the build-up of his relationship with Coach T is the backbone of these last two seasons in a really good way imo. (Well, the secondary backbone to the consistently strong Coach and Tami stuff of course.) Re: Becky, boy did I forget how annoying she was. I will say that it does lead somewhere more interesting than this weird gross thing with Tim. And speaking of Tim... I feel bad for him because Billy's an idiot. But I also want to slap him upside the head and say -- you shouldn't have thrown those books away, Tim! You could have sold them for a lot of money. He really should have just stayed in college.
