Lol the guy at the gas station was Mike leach. He was the head coach of Texas tech. Also coach t is loosely based on him. He passed away a few years ago. His interviews were damn near just like that interaction. He was a quirky guy to say the least. As far as the episode goes that quitting stuff is definitely real. An athlete with any ounce of pride nvr wants to forfeit. Especially in a game like football. Loved that coach apologized to his team so they can get a restart. Which is how it should be.
