JJ's job is working with the media, picking cases and coordinating and fostering a good working relationship with local police and detectives, so maybe Strauss should take her advice. This episode was much better than the previous episode, I'm glad it didn't seem like you hated Haley, Hotch's wife, since people sometimes get angry at her or hate her in this episode. But I always felt like this show established they had issues, that she married a lawyer not a profiler, that he would say things like he would be home more, take time off, maybe leave the job and in this episode that he would leave the job, but he never did. Because this job was his life and that was to much of a problem for her and I've always understood where she was coming from. So I never really disliked her. I refrained from saying anything about Gideon being gone in the last episode, because they didn't really confirm it, they left it on a cliffhanger with his gun in his hand. But now it's been confirmed, I think they did alright with his exit considering they didn't have a choice. The actor wanted to leave the show, at the time it was said it was creative differences. Since then he's talked about how it was the subject matter, he felt it was taking a toll on his mental health having to deal with some of these dark stories on a weekly basis year after year, so he needed to leave. He also says he didn't behave in the best way when he left the show, going awol after the end of season 2 and later wrote apology letters to the cast, but still maintained it was the best decision for his mental health. Great reaction, I look forward to the next one.
