Yep, they were talking about a popular episode of the original Star Trek, which I somewhat saw when I watched a marathon of old Star Trek episodes, before I decided during the marathon, that I didn't really like the original Star Trek that much. Darby played by Conleth Hill or Lord Varys from Game of Thrones was an interesting addition to the episode. I love how much Louis believes in Rachel, to be fair she is a great lawyer as Louis says and Sheila does as well, but there are a lot of great lawyers applying to Harvard, so Rachel is not getting in. But Louis knows that Rachel will give up and he doesn't want her to do that, so he takes the blame. Which was a sweet moment from him, but might cause problems with their relationship. I like Scottie, I like her interactions with Harvey and Donna. I know she doesn't tell Harvey everything but he doesn't respond well to a lot of things, because he does happen to have a lot of pride. Honestly I feel like he should let go of the pride a little and not always have to be the one to win, because if he does, both he and Scottie's name can be on the door and his firm can be saved. Which he should want, but he doesn't because it means he didn't win himself. Okay, well, then there's Katrina who does always rub people the wrong way, I get it, she talks down to Rachel in this episode and she's very ambitious and likes to fight back aggressively, very aggressively and not back down, even when, you know what, maybe she should. However, Mike did walk in that room with a lot of, I don't want to work with you, you shouldn't be here, I'm going to tell you what to do energy and actual words. As she likes to state, she is a fifth year, he is a first year, he doesn't get to be her boss. Also, she already has a problem with him because of how she got this job, she wanted this job, wanted to impress Harvey to get this job, thought that was why she got the job, but then found out she only got the job because Mike broke privilege. So that pretty much ruined her dream job, that she's now stuck at because she already left her other job, so now she's determined not to let Mike ruin it. Plus Mike was acting like he was better than her, like he had more integrity then her and pretty much said that out loud, because she took this job, when he was the one who broke privilege, not her. As for the idea, well I don't remember Mike directly saying his full idea in front of her, I know their was ideas of ideas being talked about, so she ran with the idea of an idea and yes slowed him down so she could get to it first, but that's a thing that's been done by other lawyers in this show, Harvey's slowed people down so he could get to things first. Mike on the other hand stole someone's work, which is not cool. So my biggest problem with this story, is Katrina is being treated, like she's the no integrity villain, who doesn't deserve to be at this firm because Mike is so much better than her. Despite the fact that Mike has broken privilege, stolen someone's work and isn't actually a lawyer, which is actually a pretty big crime and Katrina has broken no rules and actually is a lawyer, as she like's to say a fifth year at that. But again though, she does come off as abrasive, but technically so does Mike, if you think about how high and mighty he's acting considering all the rules and laws he's broken. I hope that didn't come off to strong, I just feel like sometimes it gets missed or ignored that Katrina has a lot of reasons to be acting the way she is and Mike is acting pretty terribly as well. Great reaction, I look forward to the next one.
