The actor who played young Oz was fantastic with the role, as was the actress who played the young mother. I've actually seen the actress in other things but didn't know it was her until I saw her name later, she kind of disappeared into the role. Some people think Oz killed his brothers by accident, I don't know if he meant for them to die when he closed the door, but when he looked at that jar by the window filling with water, he knew what he was doing and did nothing to stop it, so he's still responsible for his brothers death. I don't want Sofia to kill Oz's mother, but I don't want Oz to kill Sofia, I'm not rooting for him to win. A lot of the Batman movies, shows, comics and animation, have multiple crime families and villains so can't we have both. I feel like the actress is to great and the character of Sofia is to interesting and went through far to much in Arkham for 10 years, to be killed by Oz, I don't want to see that, but I'm worried that's exactly what I'm going to see. Great reaction, I look forward to the next one.

2025-01-24 10:58:10 +0000 UTCJesus Christ! And I thought the Penguin we saw in the show Gotham had mommy issues! Norman Bates would look at this version of Oswald and say “Damn, dude! Get help!” In all seriousness, I absolutely loved the backstory of Oz and his family. It’s definitely fucked up, but it beautifully reinforces the point that we are watching a show about a VILLAIN. So many comic book shows these days are too scared to actually make their villains actually bad people when they get their own shows or movies (the one exception where it worked was Peacemaker, but that’s because we already saw him as a villain prior). However, with Penguin it definitely doesn’t hold back with how sick and twisted Oz is. Sofia might be the big bad of the show, but at this point I think it’s clear that Oz is definitely the true villain of this story.
