Cristin Milioti's performance in this episode from start to finish, was so great, I was already a fan of the actress from How I Met Your Mother, that Star Trek episode of Black Mirror and Palm Springs with Andy Samberg. But after this episode, I was like she needs all the awards, she was so good. She has been nominated for a Golden Globe and I hope she gets more nominations and wins as well. I know from lot's of reactions I've watched, reviews and comments I've read, that a lot of people were won over by Penguin, because of how charming and convincing he can be, but I will admit, I was not, I still kind of thought he was terrible, I was mostly rooting for him by default because he's the lead and Colin Farrell is doing a great performance, but I like Vic more and am hoping for things to work out for him. After this episode though, I am 100% on Sofia's side and it will be very hard to convince me to root against her after everything that happened to her, all the torture she had to go through, both physical and mental for 10 years. It was also a difficult episode to watch, that scene when she was being stripped and sprayed down and having a forced exam was terrible and then it kept getting worse. I still like Vic though and hope things work out for him. The episode also made me feel bad about my previous feelings for her brother, I didn't really care about him, kind of thought he was an idiot who got himself shot by Oz and I didn't think much more than that, but now after seeing how he was the only one of the entire family to be there for Sofia, that he fought for her, fought to keep her alive and kept doing it for 10 years until he, along with Julian finally got her out of there, only to be immediately killed by Oz, I feel significantly sadder about his death than I previously did. Not sure how I feel about Julian, he, I guess showed her some kindness in Arkham, he did help get her out, but he's always staring at her, it seems like he's into her, which you shouldn't be with your patient, also it seems like maybe he did like the control of watching her break down and being the one to treat her, but he also feels a lot of guilt for that and is self medicating apparently. I also don't know how Sofia feels about him, in that scene when she was talking to him and he was against the door and she was in his face, I didn't know if she was going to stab him, kiss him or the one she ended up doing, just leaving after she said what she needed to. Great reaction, I look forward to the next one.
