I think this is an interesting and well done story they've been telling for the last few episodes, starting with the Doctor losing his sight, leading up to giving up the planet to save the Doctor. I also like that even though it's been a couple of episodes, we still don't really know that much about the Monks or what they plan on doing with the planet, it kind of makes them creepy, that in the episode, their just standing around manipulating everyone and waiting until they got what they wanted. Great reaction, I look forward to the next one.

2024-11-22 11:14:59 +0000 UTCI think this is pretty unique compared to other doctor who multi-part storylines in that each episode so far has had a really different feel, and almost a different sub-genre of sci-fi to it. I know it's arguable if this is the 3rd episode or the 2nd episode (did it start with the Monks, or did it start with the Doctor going blind?) but regardless I do enjoy the throughline and continuing storyline. I got chills when the Monks said we chose this form to look like you, and the soldier says "but you look like corpses" and the monk replies "you look like corpses to us." That's a pretty horrifying way to think of humanity. Nice reaction, looking forward to the next one.
