This is a great set up for the finale. It was nice to see Vaggie and Charlie reconcile after Charlie found out Vaggie lied to her in episode 6. I’m glad they didn’t drag out that plot line until the end of the season. I really love the scene in which Alastor makes a deal with Charlie. There are hints throughout the show that Alastor has his own agenda, especially when Husk brought up that someone else that we possibly haven’t seen owns Alastor’s soul, which could explain that he’s desperate to get out of his deal and this new one he makes with Charlie could be the key to that. I love the episode spotlighting on Rosie and Carmilla Carmine. Both are completely different characters but both help out Charlie and Vaggie respectively with what they are going through. Carmilla teaching Vaggie how to fight the angels was a fun scene and Out for Love was a great song number. Daphne Rubin Vega did a fantastic job as Carmilla. You might recognize the actress from In the Heights as Daniela the beauty salon owner. This makes her appearance in the show especially fun since Stephanie Beatriz (who voices Vaggie) played Carla, Daniela’s employee in In the Heights as well. Rosie honestly had to be the MVP of the episode for me. At first glance, everything about her screams red flags. She’s the overlord of a town of Cannibals, she’s always in a chipper mood, and she’s close friends with Alastor. But despite all of that, she seems genuinely helpful, especially with how she helps Charlie work out her feelings about the bombshell regarding Vaggie. She makes for a surprisingly almost maternal figure for Charlie to rely on since her own mother Lillith is still nowhere to be seen. Well now you’re officially at the season finale. I’m excited to see what you guys think. I’m glad that there’s gonna be more episodes in the future since the show was renewed for three more seasons before season 2 has even come out. Talk about faith from the network!!! I’d like to ask you guys a question. Now that you’ve seen most of season 1, who would you say has been your favorite character (Charlie, Vaggie, Angel, Husk, Alastor, Niffty, Pentious, Adam, Valentino, etc)?
