I was thinking of RJ when I requested this show, since he talked about how he used to watch wrestling, so I'm glad you both enjoyed it for the most part. It is a bit slower, lots of characters to introduce and a world to build. I thought the ending was a shock, I was waiting for Ace to do something stupid, but then Jack just attacked him and injured him, making him and the whole match look bad in front of the fans, I was not expecting any of that, which I think is a good thing, when a show gives you something you weren't expecting. It was one of the things that sold me on the pilot, along with the cast being great. Also, the fact that this show felt like Friday Night Lights but for wrestling instead of football. It was interesting to see Stephen Amell in this show after Arrow, he along with the rest of the cast worked really hard on this show, with the core cast doing a lot of there own stunts, Stephen even broke his back during filming. Alexander Ludwig did great as the douchey brother Ace, he was in the last 2 Bad Boys, his character was very different in that, so that's interesting to see, although still fighting. Kelli Berglund who plays Crystal the valet, did really well in this as well, I mostly knew her from Disney Channel, so definitely a different role for her to play. Speaking of which, Valets are there for show and support, they help sell your character and the story sometimes, they sometimes stop people from cheating against you or they cheat for you, if your a heel, sometimes they have relationship stories, which based on the fact that they were kissing in the ring, appears to be the case for this show with Ace and Crystal. The two of them also appear to be in a relationship backstage as well or... well, she appears to care about him, he on the other hand is sleeping with someone else and thinking of replacing her, as he said in the store, right before he was a complete douche to the woman behind the desk. Which was so unnecessarily cruel.
