Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm really glad I found your channel and to be part of this community. I hope you guys know how much we appreciate you. As for this episode, it is surprisingly very divisive in the doctor who community as some people feel like they built up the doctor's return to Gallifrey for so long and then treated it like an afterthought in the Clara storyline, adding to some people's dislike of her as a character. Personally I think it was perfectly done and made total sense in the context of the story. While the doctor has spent the entirety of the new who series up to this point grieving for Gallifrey and his people and longing to get back to them, he has just spent 4 and a half BILLION years grieving for Clara while being tortured by his own people. It's not surprising he wouldn't want anything to do with them at that point. Everything about this episode is so well done, from the standoff with Rassilon and the military choosing him because of what he sacrificed for their planet and for them, to the end with Clara disappearing with her own TARDIS as the doctor plays her theme song. To quote Ashildr, it was sad and it was beautiful. This episode had me in tears multiple times but especially the scene in the cloisters when Clara finds out how long he was trapped for. Jenna Coleman played that scene so perfectly, you can see her face change as she takes it in and her reaction is perfect. It's not often Clara is left speechless and you can see how much that hurt her. Another note about the cloister scene, when the Doctor talks about the person who escaped the cloister you can see Clara realize it was him because of the line about stealing the moon and the President's daughter. This is because Missy actually told Clara that he did that in a previous episode. It was a brilliant bit of continuity and writing. Can't wait for the next episode. Also, here's the link for the video I mentioned in case you would like to watch it. https://youtu.be/fXo47CIUuFg?si=zc1ogAW-VbF9P_Hn

I thought this was a fantastic episode with great acting from Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, the goodbye scene when the Doctor was losing his memories, the diner scene, the moment when she was finding out long long the Doctor was trapped for, 4.5 billion years, that's a lot longer than the already incredibly long 2 billion years we thought it was in the previous episode, they were all great scenes. I loved the way the Doctor was treated like an almost mythological figure when he got to Gallifrey, that they all almost immediately turned on the President for him. It's sad that Clara is gone and heartbreaking that the Doctor doesn't remember her, but I am glad that she gets to have some more adventures with Me on the long way around to Gallifrey. Great reaction, I look forward to the next one.

This finale is just everything. When Clara realizes how long the Doctor was trapped in the Confession Dial and his response is "I had a duty of care," man that tears me up just thinking about it. Actually Capaldi in that entire scene was just perfection. He was acting eractic, but subtly so. Just enough for Clara to notice something wasn't quite right. T'Nia Miller as the regenerated version of The General was criminally underused! She's such a fantastic actress, I wish they'd found a way to have her brought in sooner. And talking of regenerated Time Lords, they did ask Timothy Dalton back to reprise the role of Rasilon (back in David Tennant's last full-time episode). He was totally down for it, but sadly had other commitments so they regenerated the character and cast Donald Sumpter instead. Fun fact, because the interior of the stolen Tardis was modelled off of the original Tardis from 1963, Peter Capaldi went back and watched a bunch of Classic episodes to see how William Hartnell, the First Doctor, used the controls. That way there wouldn't be any continuity errors if someone were to jump from this episode to a classic episode. Now that's dedication to the role!! I mean this is a nice way, but it's actually so nice to see how emotional JRabbit got watching this. To think back to when you guys starting watching Doctor Who (which is actually how I found your reaction channel in the first place), series 9 was my goal! I just wanted you to get this far, to see these last 3 episodes (and the next one too). But to see how emotionally invested in these episodes you got was so much more than I could ever have imagined way back then, and it fills this whovians heart with joy to see you love these stories and characters as much as I do. And I know RJ struggled with some of the goofiness and campiness of the earlier seasons, but it really sounds like he's found his Doctor in Capaldi! I knew that darker, serious tone would get him! lol. Really looking forward to the next one.

What a great season finale!! I would totally watch "The Adventures of Clara and Me" as they travel to Galifrey, the long way around. You always thank us but it's time we thank y'all for going on this crazy journey with us. After 9 seasons you have traveled with 6 companions (not counting some honerable mentions Captain Jack and Wilfred being a couple of them) and 4 Doctors. I think back at the first few seasons with you guys and wondering if we would make it this far. I hope you have been enjoying it as much us. There are so many more adventures to comes, surprises, characters to love and loose and I'm here for it all lol. I think it's safe to say we in the community thank you and are excited for more.
