I thought this was a pretty good episode, we've had some decent moments a few times for Owen, but this was definitely his best episode. The actor did fantastic and had some great scenes, as did everyone else dealing with their grief about Owen as well. Whether it was because he had hope or because he needed the code, I think it was selfish to bring Owen back with that glove, but I've mentioned it before we have seen Jack make some somewhat callous decisions, which I think comes from how long he's been alive and how many people he's seen die, it might make him have a little bit of a disconnect sometimes with caring as much and he sometimes needs reminders, kind of like the Doctor needs a companion to be reminded of his humanity. While, I don't think we need an episode to show Gwen's empathy because we know she has a lot of that, I wonder if they could ever do an episode that puts an end to all flirtation with Gwen and Jack, I would love that episode, although it feels like wishful thinking right now, especially since flirting is one of Jack's major character traits. Great reaction, thanks to SeeJay for sponsoring the episode, I look forward to the next one.

I think Jack explained it best when he and Owen were in Jail, the fact that Jack is living this immortal life, he kind of throws caution to the wind a little bit, he doesn't really value life and death the same way us mere mortals do. So yeah, bringing him back to get the code was such a horrible thing to do, especially knowing how terribly things have gone with that damned glove in the past. It's such a shame that it takes Owen dying for his humanity to shine through, but it really does in this episode. We had a sneak peak at that during the "Adam" episode when we learned why Owen is the way he is, and we also got to see a little bit of that in season 1 when he met Diane in "Out of Time." So my take on what happened is that Death (aka the Grimm Reaper) is no match for those who have already died, so Owen was able to defeat him fairly easily. Owen absorbed his energy, and as Martha said it will take about 30 years or so to dissipate so Owen *should* be able to "live" off that energy until the energy has fully dissipated. I assume until it does, the Grimm Reaper can't be resurrected again. I did really like the design of the Grimm Reaper, although as JRabbit said it was a little corny, but only due to limited budget and CGI restrictions. The idea of him being a skeleton shrowded in black smoke I think is a bad ass design and I'd love to see an updated version of that in something made for today. Looking forward to the next one.
