July | Pulse Test Results and End of Month Schedule!

Friendly reminders on new rules:
NEW UPDATE: We have removed the requirement that you have to vote for every show. To save time- for a show you aren't interested in, you can skip it in the pulse test, and we will automatically count that as a 1. So essentially you only need to rank the shows you are interested in. GREAT Suggestion by a number of Patrons :)
Number of Shows in Regular Rotation:
Going forward we will limit the total number of shows in regular rotation to 10. Based on this pulse test, we will simply take the top 10 ranked episodes and those will be the ones regularly reacted to until the next pulse test. The only fluctuation on this, will be when a new show is voted in that isn't already in rotation- we will have 1 week with 11. (The second week of each month)
Monthly New Show Polls:
We will keep things the same with an opportunity each month to vote in a new show. New shows are at risk of being voted down in this pulse test if it doesn't secure a top 10 spot and has more than 5 episodes left in a season.
Shows that fall out of rotation:
Shows that don't make the top 10 rankings will be reacted at a much slower rate. Those with 5 episodes or less left in the season will be reacted to until the season is finished and then removed from rotation until voted in again. Those with more than 5 episodes will have one more chance to be voted into rotation in the next month's new show or pulse test poll before being removed completely from rotation.
Managing the Pulse Test:
If a shows average ranking is less than 1.10 3 months in a row, we will remove from pulse test. Once a show is removed, it can be added back to pulse test if sponsored or it wins the monthly new show poll.
Note: We remove shows after we complete a season and a new season is not yet available. If we forget to add a season back to this- just let us know!

This time it actually ranked 11 but yeah typically if there are only two or three episodes left they just don’t list it as they react to things with five episodes or less. Like if the bear fell off, just for example with three episodes left to the season they’d take that into account and just make sure to finish it up

I just saw that it wasn't on the posted list and didn't show up in their daily schedule so I just kind of assumed it had ranked super badly (and didn't think to look at the pdf)! Makes much more sense that it was likely just removed because of there being so few episodes left. Thank you!

If you look at the ranking PDF, I believe they are above some of them or maybe just Criminal Minds, I don't remember, just that TBBT was like 14th Edit: Just looked and no it ranked under Criminal Minds, but they've taken out other shows in the past with just two or three episodes so assumed they just planned to react to it anyway

2024-07-15 10:20:01 +0000 UTCI don't care for football either. It doesn't really exist in my country lol. I also love The Replacements and Remember the Titans, both football movies. I think the appeal of sports movies for me, even when I know nothing about the sport (baseball is another one) is the team aspect. Bonding, finding commonality amongst their differences, having fun together, and achieving something together -- it's great stuff that's hard to experience in real life. The characters really shine in sports movies. And specifically for FNL it's how heartfelt and down-to-earth the storytelling is, as well as how fantastic the actors are (the actors playing Eric and Tami Taylor especially). Even when melodrama is high, the characters and their situations feel real. I also find the small town culture fascinating as it's such a foreign concept to me. I've seen many people say they didn't watch FNL because they don't care about football or they hate football and that's totally valid. But there's a reason it's such a beloved show and why "it's not about football" is a common refrain when describing it.

I also have two people who I'm watching react to 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager' because that TV show is one of the craziest I have ever seen and I would never ever put you or RJ through the horror or having to react to it.

I always vote both though and I've got those three movies to look forward to =) I really hope that you like them. Inside Out 2 just speaks to me so that one especially looking forward to.

X-Men and The Bear are good too so 4/10 isn't bad and a lot of the shows I like were in the top 20, so I mean, that's a positive.
