So agree Ashleep! I was telling RJ that we need to make sure we plan these reactions in the day time and make sure we have time to watch something after otherwise I will not be able to sleep- and if I do- I most definitely will have nightmares!

This whole season was terrifying to me but this one is so frustrating and truly terrifying--ESPECIALLY the intro! I think I had to take a break from the show and get the gumption back up to finish after this one. I really appreciate how well they made the show as it creates a truly visceral reaction, but the eeriness does stay with one.

2024-04-29 14:27:32 +0000 UTCSo now we know that Will doesn't have a mental illness but a diagnosed physiological disease, and that Hannibal has known about it nearly the whole time. He has manipulated Will for a while now that there is no physical cause to all his symptoms, and now that he has gotten Will a clean bill of health from a neurologist that he knew personally (and knew could be persuaded to act unethically) whom he then cleverly murdered after getting what he wanted from him, Hannibal is free and clear to keep playing with Will's mind and watch it spiral out of control. Truly a nightmare. The autoimmune disease Will has, anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, is treatable and fully recoverable from but left untreated can lead to psychosis, severe medical issues and sometimes death.
