There was a homeless man in my city who asked for 1 peso (Mexican currency) from each person, he would not accept more, or less. He became a millionaire by the time he was an old man. A millionaire in pesos that is, not as much as in dollars but still a millionaire. Interesting character to find roaming around in real life. I wonder if he escaped a story world...

2018-05-15 10:52:13 +0000 UTCIn my point of view, while $1 a month sounds rather useless, it can make a difference in a larger perspective. There are over 1,200,000 subscribers. If all subscribers gave $1 a month, that would be over $1,000,000 a month. If half of them gave $1, that would be $500,000. If only 4,000 of them gave $1, well that's nearly $50,000 a year. I am doing $2 a month to make up for the next guy who leaves nothing.

2018-05-14 03:03:20 +0000 UTCFrom what I've heard of other creators who use patreon, the smaller patreons are more valuable as it is a constant source of income rather than larger donators who are more likely to stop their payments. If you're thinking of supporting anyone on patreon who's content you enjoy, choose the one dollar option and see how you like it. Worse case scenario you're out a dollar and you supported a good creator.
