In seriousness though, I don't think I've seen anyone propose the most obvious solution, which is just crank the compensation dial all the way up to an incentive. Like, I did some extremely sketchy napkin math and if you paid $15k/yr toward every child under 5, even if you assume a massive immediate increase of births it still totals out around $500 billion/yr (very rough estimate). Surely reversing civilisational decline is at least as important as DOD/veterans retirement benefits? And you'd turn an under-school aged child from a massive loss to a slight net gain for household finances.

Rather, we have a shared responsibility to create conditions where people want to have children and can have all the children they want." Liberalism, liberalism, liberalism, this is just more liberalism. Heaven forbid we Compel people rather than give them endless fucking Choices. Enough with "creating conditions."
