I don't believe there is a lot of children undergoing a physical transition. "Current medical guidelines say children should not undergo gender-affirming genital surgery before they turn 18." And I believe this applies to hormones as well. Certainly not before puberty. I don't know any stats on how common it actually is, but would be interested if anyone does.

If people are more interested in the Trans Kids issue I would highly recommend the Louis Theroux documentary about it. It lays out quite convincingly that it is actually not a terribly complicated issue because the risk of a trans teen attempting suicide due to body dysmorphia is simply so high. IE even if there is a relatively high risk of them regretting transitioning, "at least they will be alive to regret it", as I believe one psychiatrist put it.
