Re Crumbeys: I don't know, guys. What is "legal" or "not legal" isn't always clear cut, and it basically depends on how the trial goes. I remember people saying the same thing about George Floyd, that while it was horrible of course, qualified immunity and such meant that the cops behavior was the law of the land. Yet, lo and behold. As Matt points out the arg they need to make is negligence. I mean, you can't give a five year old an assault rifle either, right? It's worth a shot IMO.
