This is one of my favorite episodes the show has ever done. It was so nice to just hear the Bruenigs hang with a friend and chat. So often the episodes revolve around some news item that's bad or some jerks on Twitter accusing Liz of some nonsense. I like those too, of course, but this was such a fresh breeze to just hear them relax and chat with someone who isn't raging at them, but is an actual friend.

2021-09-01 06:28:53 +0000 UTCI love listening to the Bruenigs talk authoritatively about a-bombs, unions, worker coops, employee owned businesses, trans athletes, home improvement, and everything else they are less than experts about. It reminds me of when my lefty friends and I get drunk and think we can solve all the world's problems. Nice to know even really smart people aren't really good at everything. Please Bruenigs, don't ever stop delving into areas where you really don't know what the fuck you are talking about. It's the best part of your low quality, low effort pod.
