Bernie Wins New Hampshire. Legitimacy Crises.
Added 2020-02-12 15:50:51 +0000 UTCThe gang is back talking about Sanders's triumphant victory in New Hampshire. They also talk about Warren and Biden's collapse and the race to the come. The latter half of the episode is a meditation on various legitimacy questions. Is People's Policy Project a legitimate think tank? Are any think tanks legitimate? Is Michael Bloomberg a legitimate candidate if he merely spends his way to victory? What are the obligations of a media to promote legitimate outcomes?

I'm a few weeks behind, guys. I took some vacation in February and it broke my rhythm. Thank God for PPP! I learn all kinds of things that NBC and NPR would never tell me. Great piece today dismantling Fareed Zhakaria (spelling?). On money in politics, NPR literally did a ten minute segment on Bloomberg this morning like his candidacy was perfectly normal. Obscene. He can pay people to say nice things about him. To use a Bruenig-ism, sicko shit.
