My DC college experience of brunch was more about having an excuse to eat a large breakfast and drink some alcohol, sounds like it’s more sinister in the professional sphere.

I want to be clear, I think having a strong sense of political ideology is important for any voter/party- and I think the positive outcome of this would likely be that it would force parties to adopt stronger more well defined platforms. The part I’m hung up on is the human aspect of individual candidates seems to be almost entirely absent from from this model. Say for example a voter agrees with the socialist party on a national level, but on more local issues individual to their community they feel the Democratic Party best aligns with their beliefs. How does this method reconcile that problem? Or another issue that comes to mind is the very human one of just thinking certain candidates are stupid, and would do a bad job even if on paper they’re ideologically compatible? And then there’s the problem of individual interpretation of ideology. What socialism means to one particular voter may differ from how it’s interpreted by individual candidates. And moreover, how would this work with things like Judges, or ballot measures? It just seems SO streamlined that it’s not allowing for very much nuance, and it could lead to more problems if implemented in its current theoretical state.
