Matt discusses 3 options to lower carbon in the atmosphere. The third date-level option could be socialist. If the state takes over the utilities and builds the solar-wind-etc infrastructure, that would seem to pull sectoral investment decisions wholly out of the market. Public investment in public utilities would seem to be a socialist part of a green New Deal.
