2025-04-30 17:10:26 +0000 UTCHello Dukes, I don’t want to jinx myself but I must admit, after all the throat coating on this podcast I practically welcomed an oncoming sore throat so I could have lived experience with this elixir and some hard data to share with the world. Then I took a trip to Portugal and on the way I somehow got S tier level sick with a legendary burning throat. So there I am combing through a Lisbon grocery store just praying throat coat has gone international. Sadly not the case or at the very least, I was at the wrong grocery store to acquire this herbal lubricant. I spent days with a throat on fire and no ability to partake in the magic of throat coat. What a tragedy… Anyways thank you guys for an excellent podcast I listen every week even though I’m generally a Sony only player, although Game Pass’s recent hot streak has my xbox finally dusted off. Lastly, I can’t leave without cheering on your Outriders honorable mentions, for all its faults, one of the best mod systems of any 3rd person shooter ever. Have a Last Stand’s Xbox podcast might surprise you kind of day!

I watched the funniest video on YouTube today from The Infographics Show “The Real Reason Xbox is failing” and it was so full of half truths and utter BS I mistook it for a parody video, but it’s real. 2025-04-30 01:19:16 +0000 UTCHey Duke Dudes, Oblivion Remastered's unacceptable performance issues confirmed a long held cold take of mine: Bethesda is the GameFreak of the West. Both have hardcore, irrational fan bases that absolutely do not care about what non-fans think. The constant bugs, jank and crashes in Bethesda games drives me fucking crazy. I also put 400 hours into Pokemon Violet and was unfazed when the FPS dropped into the single digits. Bethesda and GameFreak are the masters of making good, bad games that we can't stop playing. Have a "stop having fun" kind of day!

Matty, with Oblivion released and having a strong indication Fallout 3 is on the way it seems that the list of games that Xbox leaked back during the acquisition seems to be very accurate. I know oblivion hype is crazy and Fallout 3 hype will go nuclear however.... How are you feeling about Dishonoured 3 being on that list. What, if any are you expectations/ excitement?

With the acclaim that the Last of Us is getting on HBO and how largely true to the source material it is, do you ever wish it was HBO that had the rights to the Halo TV Series? I feel like HBO would have likely been more true to the original games and I think it would have likely been better received. With that said, is there currently any Xbox IP that you would like to see adapted to that small or big screen? (Fallout doesn't count)?

I thoroughly enjoyed last week's episode of Dieting Duke: An Xbox Podcast and the delectable discussion during the Health Is Wealth segment, inspiring all of us to eat, train and live healthier. In all seriousness, we can all play our part, even outside the walls of the gaming industry, to support and encourage healthier lifestyles amongst the people we surround ourselves with, so thank you for the weekly reminder to strive to be that little bit better so we can all enjoy the beauty of video games for as long as possible. I'll jump on the bandwagon and share a favorite healthy recipe of my own which is basically a homemade version of a popular dish from an Australian restaurant chain called Fish Bowl. You mix a bunch of chopped kale, cabbage slaw, diced cucumber and red onion together. Add half a smashed avocado, some pickled ginger, seaweed salad and fried shallots (found at your local Asian grocer). Top it off with your favorite protein (I prefer chicken or baked salmon) and drizzle some roasted sesame sauce as a flavorful finisher. It's an easy and seriously delicious go-to recipe of mine for either lunch or dinner. Wishing the entire LSM community a healthy week no matter where you are!
