OMG, I cannot fathom that we are back at this conversation - GAMES DON'T NEED TO PROVE THEY ARE WORTH $80! Just like bread in your bakery does not need to prove it is now 4x the price you paid when you were a kid. The price increase is an economy topic, not content topic. If games needed to provide more to charge more, we will be at ground zero. The same things were happening when Rift Apart launched at 70. God-damn. Again, Colin on recent SS nailed it, or rather the listener write-in was SPOT ON. You guys should be informed. You should be able to read the industry. Explain why is this happening, what it means and what would be the outcomes if we continued to deny it that gaming was extremely cheap entertainment for years. Not cater to the crying audience. But I guess it gets you into console previews, so at least that.

When The Lord of the Rings Trilogy got remastered in 4K and the price for the set was $100, I didn’t see the entire film community in outrage. It should be understood that these remasters are for die hard fans, and also new gamers.

I feel like this is a reaction to people complaining when a game was shorter than they expected, and unfortunately that group is loud and annoying.

2025-04-10 16:31:20 +0000 UTCHey, we need to stop sharing the playtime of games. I literally don't buy the game when that info is shared. 2nd or 3rd time Matty has done it on this channel. If thats what new school gamers like to hear - well I'll clarify that's a spoiler. Why do companies even share that info is beyond me. Kids dont even get 2 hours into a game and they drop it. So its not a selling point... We can share the analytic that a few companies lost my sale when this info is not shared. Matty show is banned once again from my viewing for a few months. Take care.
