15th April I’m legit just mossing shows now because of there being no Spotify combined feed. Missing exclusives and knockback and now I keep having to refer back here to find episodes i’m missing.

April 11th. Still no combined feed for Spotify users. Sadly this will be my last month as a paid patreon member until it's resolved. I have missed multiple shows because of this change. :(

Noticed I was getting double up on the shows, now, so thought this was the reason. This is a good solution, and if this is the biggest issue we've had, I think we're doing pretty good. Have a good weekend.

As some have said - I see the 'combined feed', but when I open it in Spotify, it's just listing Sacred. Happy to give it a day or two but currently not working properly for me. I can't take this much edging.

NGL I think now the actually Patreon App feed is now screwed. I didn’t see Punching Up at all yesterday and it seems all jumbled in the Patreon timeline now. Not sure if it’s just adjusting after the change. But I actually prefer using the Patreon feed itself to listen always have and I have zero problems with it. I use Spotify for music and I hate mixing that with podcasts and Apple Podcasts is just for my free stuff.

Thanks for restoring the combined feed. However I found that the Spotify RSS Combined Feed still links to the Sacred Symbols only feed.

Now I’d added the individual feeds and sorted it all out and the unified feed has repopulated all the unplayed episodes it hadn’t posted since the change. I know this was all with good intentions but not I have to either mark all the episodes as played from the unified feed and remove each of the individual feeds or delete all the individual feed stuff. New day new problem.

I admittedly didn't take that to mean that the link for the complete feed would link to what appears to be a duplicate of the Sacred Symbols only feed, and only have Sacred Symbols shows in it. I would, of course, expect some hiccups. I figured it meant that not all shows would propagate in the feed completely.

Thank you for your attention and hard work on this, team! I was annoyed when my unified feed crapped out in the change and I had to do a little work to break out into separate feeds, but once I sat down and spent five minutes organizing the separate feeds, I came to prefer it. Glad the unified feed is now back for those who still want it.

Sacred Symbols feed reverted back to the unified feed for me on Android/Pocket Casts. Went and readded the Sacred RSS link, and removed the unified. Worked perfectly! Thanks for all your efforts on this Colin and gang.

Gonna make another comment here: The introduction of separate feeds was not the issue! That is great! It’s not that no one likes the separate feeds. It was the sudden removal of the unified feed. It’s not so much about if before was better or worse, but just the sudden change. I have to deal with sudden changes elsewhere in life I’d like to limit it in the fun parts of life

This is so great! Thank you, Colin. It’s not working for me yet but I’m sure it will be up soon. One more thing I’ll add is this: just think of how Knockback is returning. The Unified feed allows patrons to immediately see that. Without the unified feed, patrons that don’t go into the Patreon app would have never discovered this.

I do NOT see the combined feed link in Patreon. I am in the Patreon app (Android) and selected "Add to Podcast App" then RSS links. I see all of the individual links but not combined feed.....Is there a simple step by step?

The Combined Feed for Spotify link via Patreon is just a Sacred Symbols only feed on my phone. I'll try on a PC later, though I can't imagine why it would be any different. I unfollowed everything first, so that's not the issue.

The main (full) feed was never what I was looking for but I can see how some people would prefer this option. This seems like a final bit of polish that keeps everyone happy. Good to see Last Stand continually update it's service to benefit it's customer base though. Truly the best service for the money!

I would hope that everybody would understand that this is Sarcasm designed to poke fun at the world of internet outrage and the fact that when anything changes somebody will complain. Even if the reasoning is so stupid somebody will find something to complain about. The humor to be found here is due to the fact that this change does nothing but gives everyone what they want and has 0 negative repercussion. The idea that 1 little icon on a list of RSS feeds is enough to trigger me is supposed to represent the fragility and to be frank, whiney nature of the current culture (or at least a small handful of individuals). The fact that there are responses questioning the sincerity of my original post just add to the humor as it proves that people will question obvious sarcasm because you have all seen this asshole above. Don't be too hard on yourself! The erasure of the unified feed was baffling but it's been resolved. I think one of the most interesting aspects of all of this broadly speaking is that; people that are content with things don't say anything. So in this case, the silent majority which were 1000s of people VS 100s, got the lesser product.

I think the thing that really caused the confusion/frustration was that there was no warning before it happeded (at least for someone who only listenes to the shows, I don't know if it was mentioned in the discord or patreon). Had there been a poll asking people if they "wanted individual feeds, loved the unified feed, or didn't mind either way" you would have had more of an understanding of how much of the audience wanted the unified feed. Also if you had mentioned that the feeds were changing and the date of the change on the shows for a couple of weeks before the switch people would have been able to mentally prep themselves for the change. And while saying you should give people a heads up before making a big change sounds like you're trying to wrap fully grown adults up in cotton wool to protect them against a slight inconvience, a large proportion of neurodivergent people (whether they've been diagnosed or not) are highly attracted to video games (and thus these podcasts) and don't do well with sudden changes.

Thanks Colin personally i like the individual RSS feeds but also didn’t have a issue with the original combined feed. So having them either way hasn’t really impacted me but it’s fantastic that there’s an option for both so you can have whatever you personally prefer 👏🏻 👏🏻.

Unless I have a total misunderstanding I don't think there's really a way to do that. The episodes are all on YouTube so the feed would basically be a link in your podcasting app that would take you to YouTube

Cheers for acknowledging and thinking about this situation. For my part, truth is “I don’t care” is what applies to me. I split my life into Apple Podcasts and Patreon releases so it’s easy to organise things. That being said, it’s uber ironic to me that RSS feeds are seemingly dead when there was a time when I had the best life on the internet: curated filter on the sources I chose. “We can’t have nice things” meme applies… Cheers everyone on LSM and community
