Needing help, because I'm not feeling a videogame? Perhaps you might be an individual that finds your identity or self value in an interactive media format. Which i can say could come off as disturbing but. People fund jesus in coffee creamers so who cares. The game is successful. The game is praised. I can respect the unique aspects of what's it trying to do. The creator looked out into the world. He seen many people like the ones who would champion this idea. You are not living life well. You have lost touch with humanity and the earth. The bonds you form with people andthe connections you make. You're are lost as a society. Alow me to tap in to that lost feeling you hold inside. The game serves as a conduit for the likes of mordern minded people that learn something deep within themselves or the world. I do stand on the side of videogames teaching the player something. An overall lesson in science or mortality. I can recognize a product that has both creativity and "algorithmic marketing" to ultimately sell you on something. In this case, Split Fiction comes off more as selling me something. - Enjoy your coffee. While I sip my tea. This videogame is not for me. It's for you. The exact reason you don't play Barbie's Dream Horse, is the exact reason I don't want to play Split Fiction.

2025-03-28 10:58:46 +0000 UTC“I understand if y’all can’t understand the brain rot in my reasoning”. I don’t care about Split Fiction but you are out of your mind and you don’t even know it lol. My opinion has nothing to do with the game tho, you simply come off as someone that needs help (intervention) and need to get off the internet for a bit. Take care of yourself buddy!

2025-03-28 10:11:20 +0000 UTCHey Guys. When my sister and I finish split fiction I had the same reaction to the game as Hoeg. This really might be one of the best video games pound for pound that I have ever played. I was astounded by its engaging creativity and was never bored. As far as Dustin’s criticism of the dialogue is concerned, I understand, but at the same time I have similar criticisms towards the Final Fantasy Remake games, and many Anime style games for that matter. All I will say is that a story is really only as good as you will allow it to be. Suspension of disbelief does a lot in helping stories be great.

2025-03-28 01:34:54 +0000 UTCWhen both the girls longingly looked at each other and said “I guess we’re some sort of Split Fiction.” Before hugging and rubbing cooters, I felt that.

2025-03-27 17:37:46 +0000 UTC*sprikle of hate* I did not play this game, I seen enough and I get it. I see alot of Dragon Age Veillguard in this game esthetically. But no one says it. My taste in games are more vast than than this whole community. SpiIt Fiction checks many boxes of something I'd try, but still it's missing something important for me. It comes off like a algorithm of a game. It doesn't feel genuine. I feel it pandering. Not many games make me feel like that. I'd happily play 5 Slitterhead and Deadly Premonitions before touching Split Fiction. I understand if y'all can't understand.

2025-03-27 16:18:49 +0000 UTCIs Split Fiction technically an isekai?

2025-03-27 04:47:17 +0000 UTCHello rusty Dusty and Rick the slick. My mostly non gaming girlfriend and I are about 70% through. Having come directly from playing through “it takes two” a few weeks before this released, it’s easy to say that the difficulty has ramped up quite a bit this time around, although sometimes only with the optional side stories was it overly present. During the hot potato mini game, my partner surprisingly expressed having sweaty palms and an elevated heart rate upon completing the level, I believe this to be her first souls like experience 😅 Did either of you find any sections particularly troubling to get through together with your partner (secret lasers aside).?

2025-03-27 03:17:18 +0000 UTCRick, do you agree with Dustin on the quality of this game’s writing? I disagree with Dustin and think the writing in this is actually solid as you see both characters start to open up more with each other as the game progresses.

2025-03-27 00:15:09 +0000 UTCDustin, with the praise you gave on Sacred it got me wondering. How would both of you rank the final level of this within your favorite final levels in gaming?

2025-03-26 23:28:56 +0000 UTCHi guys! Just wanted to say the game looks cool and I watched a full play through but sadly can’t play it. No one to play it with. If anyone is interested my psn is DatLie. Also, should they implement a way to play with a bot so loners can play. God Bless!

2025-03-26 21:46:47 +0000 UTCHey Splitters, no slitters (thank god!). So what's the deal with the hate on the dialogue? As someone who has watched a few 30 minutes chunks of the game here and there across the game. I don't see too much of an issue with the dialogue here. And for the record the overarching plot works; although it can be a bit corny and cheesy. Could be better, sure. I have to ask if the moment to moment dialogue detracts from your experience; would you rather they be a gameplay only type game like Astrobot or a Mario game. Or maybe shut up the protagonist by making them be silent protags. Are we really setting high expectations for Hazelight's writing team going into their games now. It's like going into a Pokémon game and expecting it to be voiced. I hope you both have a lovely day.

2025-03-26 21:41:01 +0000 UTCGreetings Big D and Hard R, I'm a bit more lukewarm on Split Fiction compared to the majority of the community, it seems, in thinking it's a perfectly OK game. For context, my wife and I played It Takes Two together as well, but this time around I found it a lot more frustrating playing with someone who isn't a natural video game player. There were quite a few points where I would have to sit and wait for her to finish a section before we could move on or even a couple instances where she had to hand me her controller to progress the level. I also found the lack of mini games in Split Fiction a bit of a letdown compared to the last game. Did either of you have any frustrating moments playing with your partner?

2025-03-26 21:20:24 +0000 UTCHey Dustin & Hoeg Give us your highlights of Split Fiction! What moment made you laugh out loud the hardest? Were there any parts that you breezed past but your partner struggled? What was your favorite side-story? My fiancée and I are loving this game so far. Cheers!

2025-03-26 21:08:12 +0000 UTCHey Dustin & Hoeg Brief question for you fellas. Split Fiction had 12 different side stories scattered throughout the game. Each provided a unique little story and world to explore. What were some of your favourites? Shoutout to Hazelight Studios for creating another extremely fun game with creativity around every corner. Such a Joy to play! Toodaloo Lads!

2025-03-26 20:33:22 +0000 UTCI agree, he should play some couch co-op with Micah for this. If they love it they can also play It Takes Two as well.

2025-03-26 19:43:02 +0000 UTCHey Dustin and Hoeg, I played Split Fiction with my partner, who’s not great at games, and I loved how it let me carry them through the tough platforming and timing puzzles without slowing things down – how did you find the co-op balance with your partners? Did it manage skill gaps as well for you, or did you hit any snags? Also, we all know Colin hates multiplayer games, but why won’t he even give it a shot with Micah? Is he just that set in his ways, or is there some unspoken reason he’s dodging her co-op pleas? Like with Helldivers, he might even surprise himself.

2025-03-26 19:20:15 +0000 UTCProbably not gonna play this one but I won't pass up a chance to listen to Dustin and Hoeg. Good to see you in the host chair, loving the content as always

2025-03-26 19:18:32 +0000 UTCGuys, I have to say this game was a joy to play, and thus far my GOTY. Maybe Clair Obscur will takes it place. I have to ask, were either of you able to disarm the bomb with the cell phone on your first playthrough? I played with my son and had the phone and made the mistake of answering the call, bad idea. At least the game continues onward. I cannot wait to see what is next from Hazelight.

2025-03-26 19:18:28 +0000 UTCHey Dustin and Hoeg, Can we give credit to Josef Fares and the writing team? I keep reading and hearing complaints of Zoe and Mio bickering the whole game, but that's only true for the first several chapters. The story does a wonderful job bringing the two women together and developing their characters. For a game about writing, this game has fittingly some of the best writing I've seen in a game recently. Can't wait for Hazelight's next game! Dearly, Fozzie

2025-03-26 19:17:26 +0000 UTCHey Dustin, I think it would be cool if Holly was on this episode as well (even for just a bit), to hear her experience as the one who isn’t as into/adept at the complex platforming involved in a game like this. My girlfriend loves things like animal crossing and Mario kart, but she struggled when we tried to play It Takes Two together so I’m thinking we may need to skip this one and I’ll have to find someone else to play with. Would love to hear from Holly on the topic. Just a thought!

2025-03-26 19:10:48 +0000 UTCI love that there was a worldwide competition to be the first players to access and beat the secret "lazer hell" level, winning a trip to the studio in Sweden to see their next game. It feels like those Willy Wonka, Ready Player One kind of competitions are special and harken back to the retro days of gaming. But my son is just 7 so we'll be lucky if we can roll credits, but he's really hyped to try.

2025-03-26 19:10:23 +0000 UTCHey fellas, One of my best friends and I played through the game last week and loved it. One thing we did complain about sometimes though was how disorienting the split screen could be during certain sections. Did either of you ever feel this way? Thanks!

2025-03-26 19:08:59 +0000 UTCHello Gents, I played through It Takes Two and Split Fiction with my ‘non-gamer’ wife and we had a blast with both. My favorite part was being able to recommend games she may enjoy, based on the many different play styles in both games. What different game mechanics do you think they pulled off really well, and which did not gel with you? Much love from The Burgh

2025-03-26 19:06:48 +0000 UTCI feel like this answer would be more entertaining with Gene on, but I'm still going to ask: Zoe or Mio? You know what I mean.
