2025-03-25 18:52:59 +0000 UTCI had laser eye surgery in 2005 with LASEK and you can 100% smell the burning of your eye with the laser. I kind of thought it was a kin to potentially having your teeth drilled as well, but it’s not freaky. The way my surgery went was they numbed me all the hell and used a small tool to scrape my cornea, then took about 30 seconds with each eye, blazing it into shape. I was basically blind in both eyes for just a few seconds until the procedure started, and I don’t regret it at all because of how bad my vision was before. I don’t know how the technology is now but I’m sure it’s 1 trillion times better.

It's all decked out: modded, have a nice grip I use for it, a stylus that extends, smash bros faceplates, replaced the c stick with a PSP analogue cap, all my DS games on SD, etc etc. I've had it since 2015 but I was always a vita guy so it never got my full attention

2025-03-21 19:19:46 +0000 UTCI still have my Panasonic Viera 3D plasma tv stored in my basement. When we get a bigger house I will be dusting that bad boy off to watch movies. I have a large collection of blu rays and I love my LG OLED for 4K content and gaming but Blu-rays don’t look as good. Blu ray looks much better on a 1080p TV especially a plasma. Watching Dread in 3D on that TV is such an amazing experience.

2025-03-20 20:55:05 +0000 UTCLol I went down the exact same 3DS rabbit hole a couple of years ago, it’s an amazing system with a ton of excellent exclusives that still hold up. And just like Brad, I came to the disappointing realization that the 3DS is not the place to play DS games. I highly recommend picking up a DSi XL for that purpose. Also, since the crew is on a 3DS kick, I implore everyone to play Shin Megami Tensei IV (NOT Apocalypse). This 3DS exclusive is an absolute masterpiece with some of the best atmosphere, story, gameplay, and music that you can experience on any system. IMO it is the best 3DS game and I think the crew would love it, except maybe Micah, because it’s pretty fucking difficult in the beginning.

2025-03-20 17:26:09 +0000 UTCIn the unlikely event that Brad or Dustin is reading these comments: The HD version of Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance on PC and consoles added an item called the Drop-Me-Not you can easily stock up on that negates the forced character switching, I highly recommend trying the game again using these, having control over changing makes the game way more enjoyable imo

2025-03-20 03:07:50 +0000 UTCI did want to clarify some things on the Atelier series: About fan service - it’s been present in the games since the the PS3 ones but wasn’t a focus. But even then it’s really the designs that are amazing with these games - not just the way the characters look but their clothes as well. It’s a great mix of eastern and western fashion sense. But these games definitely don’t even have the fanservice that would be in something like One Piece. Even the Ryza series. There is some fan service in the game but most of it is relegated to marketing They upped the fan service with Ryza. At the same time though, it’s not like the story is this perverted, fan service filled adventure. Their stories are more personal stories usually. They involve not just alchemy but can be either a story about friendships evolving, changing, about family, grief etc. Honestly, it’s kind of saddening seeing the games talked about like this since it’s pretty not representative of what the games are like. These aren’t like Senran Kagura or the Neptunia games. I do get you being turned off from the timed mechanics though. They stopped that though with the ps4 games onward though from Sophie up through Ryza and Yumia. Matty just did a video on Yumia and is liking it.

Got my OG blue one back in 2011 and after I started replaying OoT 3d on it the screen felt way too small after years of using the Switch. Got a new 3DS XL last year (also blue) and I’ve been playing on it more than on the Switch (also just got Monster Hunter 3 and 4 ultimate for it and can’t wait to play those for the first time).

The air fryer is the most life changing appliance I’ve ever bought for myself and it’s not even close. It has so many uses and you’ll surprise yourself which how much it can do. I’ve worked in fine dining for years now and even my head chefs will cook a steak in an air fryer! If Colin wants, I can design an air fryer walkthrough/guide to make using it easier!
