Just my two cents on ad-free video: Render one with ads, one without. The one without stays unlisted on YouTube forever. The one with ads is the live version. Making a video go out to 1000’s unlisted, then making it live 3 days later, is almost as suicidal as not using ads algorithmically, and imo its why you’d don’t grow on YT much. You won’t get any algorithm benefit having seperate audiences on one video. Having a public video where all non-patrons jump in at once to a fresh 0 views video is much better. You could even schedule a premiere to increase visibility then and optionally earn money through super chats or memberships if you wanted on YT. I’m a decent sized YouTuber, ask Matty, I’m sure he’d tell you the same.

don’t take the high ground doge, i’ve seen your comments basically do the opposite in glazing everything trump does, ie your username… however the comments really only get political if the show talks about it. last week tariffs were discussed, so some of the comments brought it up. i’m not saying for the show to not bring up politics bc it is important, and people DO need to be respectful, but at the same time they can’t be surprised if people are discussing it since it’s such a sensitive topic nowadays and we hear it in the show.

Is it possible that the issue with this community is simply the size? Back when CLS started it was much smaller. I don’t remember these issues. But now the audience is way bigger and politics are only getting more and more heated. People care more about being smart than they do about being kind, so they fall down whatever conspiratorial rabbit holes they like the best. I think Colin is being far too optimistic. Death Stranding 2 looked really good. I played like 5 hours of the first game and just wasn’t feeling it. This trailer though got me to re-buy it on PS5 and I’m going to give it another try. The reason why people are annoyed that Debra Wilson is in the game might not be the same reason why I am (though I think it is). My main reason goes back to not liking actual people or actors being “cast” in the game. I don’t want one person to be 90 different characters in games. I don’t go to games to get a Hollywood feel. I know Kojima gets real people for some of his games but I just don’t like the trend. It completely takes me out of the experience. Also about Dustin talking about religion in Intergalactic. I get what you mean Dustin, it’s interesting when something does something different with different talking points about a subject. I’d argue though that the whole berating religion is the trope and actually saying good things about it would be something different for a change. I can’t really think of a game in recent memory that touches on it in a good way. A lot of JRPGs usually go the route of the church is actually evil thing and it’s done decently most of the time but it’s sorta the same thing over and over
