Using a guide when you get stuck is a good idea! On the topic of Chrono Trigger extended media, I actually think the game could be adapted into a fantastic animated series. Chrono Trigger has an awesome story but it suffers from the characters being underdeveloped. I think if you were to fill in the gaps with dialogue and character centric side stories you could easily get a fantastic couple of seasons.

2025-03-12 18:18:47 +0000 UTCI remember my cousin renting Chrono Trigger and bringing it over to play. Between that and Final Fantasy 4 on the SNES, it helped really get me into JRPGs. Gene, I know you are not feeling Metroidvania’s much anymore and I totally get it since there are so many now. One game though that I thought was unique story wise and battle system wise for one of these games is Nine Sols. Kinda like a story about technology and Buddhism. It’s a little tougher but I was really surprised by it. I think you’d like it too Brad
